Community: The Heart of wikiHow

wikiHow works because thousands of people from all over the world collaborate together to build something greater than any of us could build alone. Everyone who contributes to wikiHow is a member of our community. Some very active community members go on to patrol recent changes, participate in or lead wikiHow projects and other important activities that help maintain a project on this scale.

To aid our collaboration, we try to meet in person once or twice a year. We also meet regularly remotely in IRC chat, conference calls, and forum discussions. We also read about the myriad of activities our editors are doing in our community newspaper, the wikiHow Herald.

Many of us find that interacting with this group of intelligent, altruistic people to be one of the more rewarding aspects of long term participation in wikiHow. Please join us.
