Talk with Other Editors

There are many different ways you can communicate with other editors on wikiHow. Here are the three most common:

  1. Your talk page - Once you register and start editing, other editors may start interacting with you. See image below for what a new message indicator looks like.
  2. The wikiHow Forums - This is where editors gather to discuss everything from improving wikiHow to shaping our policies to any other topic.
  3. The wikiHow IRC chat room - Visit here to talk with other editors in real time. It is a great place to seek immediate help.

If someone sends you a message to your talk page, a message bar will appear near the top of your screen.

If you click on the message, your talk page will appear. Here, you can see all the messages you have been sent:

Click on the "Reply to" link to be taken to the sender's talk page and post using the box at the bottom.
