You do not really need to know the policies to edit on wikiHow. You can do almost anything by relying on your own logic, common sense, and good judgment. We don't want wikiHow to have so many rules and regulations that it is no longer fun to participate.
Our approach has been to establish an intentionally minimal number of policies with the intent of clarifying any common misunderstandings. That said, if you want to understand some of the finer details of the policies and guidelines, feel free to review the following pages:
