  1. 1
Drink lot of water! When you have chapped lips, it's like a cry for help that your lips are thirsty! Drink up to 8 glasses of water a day!

  2. 2
Exfoliate your lips every couple of days. One method of doing this is by taking an old tooth brush and wetting it with warm water. Then rub the tooth brush on your lips gently. This takes off all the dead skin. Another method of exfoliating your lips is by rubbing sugar (or salt) on your lips. Sugar is a better item to use because it leaves your lips tasting sweet. Dab your finger in water, then dip your finger in sugar and rub on your lips. Smack your lips together and wipe (or lick!) the extra sugar off. MAKE SURE YOU FINISH OFF WITH LIP BALM.
  3. 3
Don't use chapstick brand lip balms. The chemicals only dry out your lips more so you apply the product more. Try to use things like Nivea, softlips, or burts bees. All of these chapsticks are available at most drugstores like CVS or Wallgreens. They are also a good price for the amount of help they do for your lips.
  4. 4
Never let your lips go naked. This step is very important. This means that you should never leave your house without a lip balm at hand. Keep one in your car, your purse, your pocket, anywhere! I like softlips because the small tube is very conveinent to carry. Especially when going to the beach or out in the winter. Sunburnt and windburnt lips HURT. In the spring and fall, use a SPF 15 lip balm. In the summer and winter use SPF 20+.
  5. 5
Patience is perfect. Don't expect great lips overnight. Use vaseline/lip balm every day and before bed. You will see the effects with in a week or so. Make sure to follow up on each step every day and you will get great, kissable, soft lips. :D
