Wow, this is simply inspirational. It looks straight like a scene out of Jack the Ripper. I will also link this from my blog! Two thumbs up!

Give photo's this extra touch to pretend like it's raining very hard. You can also use this to tease relatives by modifying your holiday-photo's and tell them you had a bad time... Be creative!

3. Repeat the creation of a second Rain layer but with a little more noise to get a denser rain. Lower the opacity of this second Rain layer to simulate the rain in the background.

1. Create new layer 550x550, 72pixels white background 2. Copy wood grain on Photoshop page right click copy 3. Click on new layer just made right click and paste 64. Layer/merge down then create new layer on top of wood grain 5. Select 19 pixel hard paintbrush hit D Key write your name and put dot around name and make lines swiggle downward. 6. Reduce fill opacity to 3 on layer 1 to do this double-click layer one in middle of box you will see bold letter Advance blending below that is fill opacity this will make it almost disappear do not worry. 7 Next double click drop shadow box settings :

- Change your foreground color to: #030303 and background color to: #FD0202. - Go to Layer - New - Layer and click ok. - Select the brush tool () and change the following settings of this brush:

1.) Open your image into Photoshop. Create a new layer by pressing ???Create New Layer??? button at the bottom of your layers menu. This creates a layer above your image. While you???ve got that layer selected click on the ???Paint Bucket Tool??? and select a gray color, you can use the default gray in the top right corner of your swatches window. Fill your layer with the color. Turn down the opacity of that layer to 50%.

One thing I will tell you, that I enjoy a lot about using these 'Layer Effect' filters, is that you can create a new empty layer, then apply any of these filters, and THEN grab a brush and start painting on the canvas. You'll see the filter get applied to the paint in real-time. It's quite a thing to see happen when you have the filters setup to produce a 3D effect - like this rain drops effect.

Of course there are thousands of tutorials on the net to show you how to create rain, but I didn't find any that fast as my technique and with my twist. The twist is that you can change the feeling of any photo at the same time. Oh and it's fast really fast. It's all about applying one brush, one layer style, one? effect and one blending mode. As usual, since I am one of the laziest persons alive, I find a way to pass all the hard work to Photoshop and me just to press few buttons along the way to achieve the effect. Curious about how can you do it in Adobe Photoshop? Read further then.

To apply the text click the check mark in the upper right of the Options bar or press the Enter key (Mac), Control-Enter (PC). This will render the Type layer, Rain Drops.

[some of the images are repeated in the post] Brilliant source of inspiration, I see a lot of designs around with rainbows, I love the rainbw because it's God's reminder to mankind that He will not destroy the earth by water again :o)

Step 1: Open up a stock image in Photoshop of any size and/or format. Please note that the image to my right was grabbed from the excellent SXC.HU archive - where there excellent pictures aplenty! NB. Remember that rainbows are a trick of the light produced when sunlight diffracts through fine droplets of water. With this in mind, make sure that your source image has these elements in abundance, or else your rainbow will look blatantly artificial!

1. Open photoshop go to file menu and make a new file size 779 width hight you can choose according to your text & material which you want to put on your website.

1. Open any image that you want to add rain drops too. In order to make this look more realisitc, I'm going to use the following image of a green leaf.

I would not call this a "beginners' tutorial," but if you are a beginner and you want to do raindrops, go for it. Just be patient with yourself as you do it, click on the link text for further help, and keep your manual handy.

Create a new layer and put it inbetween the background image and the rain layer. Create a black to white gradient in this layer and only drag the gradient about half way down the image. Then apply the Multiply mode and you can reduce the opacity if you like.

For this tutorial I might as well show you how to get the mood/ conditions in which rain falls........its not just darkning the image.......................................................................................Firstly get yourself an image you want to comp the rain into.
