Next create a new layer. Choose Brush Tool (B). Download this brush set. Create swirls ornament around the center of the wallpaper using this brush set .

In this Photoshop video tutorial learn how to create fake mist, god rays (sun beams), and creating rich black and white images.

Lets get going! First find an image... this effect can very easily be applied to anything for a cool abstract effect, i just happened to use an image with a sun. Here is my Image.

1. Create a new 500 x 500 pixel document with a resolution of 100 and name it Light Ray. Press D and fill the document (with Black). Then create a new layer. Then select the Lasso Tool and draw any shape you want. Now fill the selection with black.

(note: I did the more 'do it yourself' way). Now you can add color to the image by, creating a new layer and filling it with a color of your choice. Then set that layers blending mode to 'Color'. Below is the final with color. This is similar to the other light rays tutorial, similar techniques ,different outcome however.

After releasing my latest wallpaper devkit I received a bunch of requests from people, asking me to do a tutorial on how to create rays of light with Adobe Photoshop. Well here we go...

First make a blue backround so you can see the white layers. then using the line tool found in your shapes feature, make a 1 pixel wide vertical line. Ctrl J that, free transform, while holding down shift, move the arrow to the right until it's horizontal.

Today we are going to create clouds and rays of light. As I type this title I am thinking it may well be a sight of an explosion with clouds of dust everywhere. I will Let you decide. I have used a custom shape that resembles a cloud and that's my starting point. Later in the tutorial I used Radial blur and photoshop features like inner Glow and channel mixer. I hope you like it.

Title: Draw a Bright Light rays in a Galaxy image Description: In this tutorial I will add Light rays to a galaxy.

3. Apply the following filter: Filter / Artistic / Rough Pastels. Use these settings: Stroke Length: 7 Stroke Detail: 15 Texture Type: Canvas Scaling: 100 Relief: 20 Without Invert Texture Light Direction: Bottom

- Press CTRL + T to enter the free transform mood, now turn the guitar a bit, and make it smaller like below:

We have another decision to make. How to handle multiple layers? Should the X-Ray start dark and get brighter, as more objects overlay, or vice versa? I tried to make it brighter the more objects that overlay, but it's difficult to be constant with this.

21. Rex Ray

After visiting the local hospital where I had my hand x-rayed, I decided to write a tutorial about creation of an x-ray effect. The result was different from what I had planned but I like it. I will demonstrate here using a flower as an example.

We will discuss how to the singh ray blue gold polarizer to help accomplish very high contrast black and white digital photo image.

11. Select layer 4, and press Control + U. It's time to select your color scheme. Select colorize, and move the hue value to anything you with (I personally like 184). Click OK and do the same for Layer 3. To make it look more colorful, select a slightly different hue than you did with layer three (for example, I would use 230).

To find and separate the light source in the photo, we'll use the Levels tool (Image> Adjustment> Levels or Ctrl+L). Drag the middle input slider all the way to the left.

Ray of Light Category: Photoshop Make your photos look breathtaking. In this Photoshop Elements tutorial, you will learn how to use a combination of tools to digitally add a realistic ray of light to your photos. Written by Denny Tang Views:

To start off, we need an image that has some gap or spaces where lights normally pass through, such as a window, clouds, or hallway. In my image to the left, I will create a ray that will pass through the hole in the cliffs.

Open a photo into Photoshop Elements. The photo should have a light source such as an overexposed sky, highlights in clouds, etc..
