In this tutorial, I just want to show how I have drawn a Black hole. I used a document of 400 x 150 px with transparent background.

Start with a 780150 px black canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set and name it Glassy Header. Now insert the Header Design into your canvas.

2. Choose a nice appropriate section for the bullet hole, create a new layer, then using the Elliptical Marquee Tool, hold down Shift and draw a circle, now select the Lasso Tool, with you circular selection still active, hold Alt (Mac: Option) and take a way some pixels from the edges to give the circle a rough look, fill the circle in with black.

Duplicate your first text layer and delete the layer styles attached by right clicking on the text layer under the layers palette and choose 'Clear Layer Style'. With the second black text layer, nudge it up and to the left by a little.

Open your Interface and find a nice place to add this detail to. Holes are a great way to fill "open" areas on your interface. My "interface" is a flat layer of color Hex #333333. From now on, I will call the already existing interface (or in my case my background) the "background".
