Photoshop Tutorials » Design » Alphabet

All this got me to thinking about how to create such an effect. Turns out, it is rather simple. This tutorial will layout the steps to design pressed lettering so you can use this effect on your next project. So here we go!

I did something like this for my girlfriend once and it took me some time to figure out how to do the different letters. This would have made it so much easier. Trevor Jackson did the whole alphabet. Surprise someone with a personal, 'hand-written', message.

In this video tutorial you will learn how to put together a composition from scratch from scans and textures. Techniques used; pen tool, blending modes, displacement map, and others. After completing the tutorial scan your own elements, use your own textures and come up with a creative concept.

This is my second tutorial, so please give me some feedback. I'm writing this to explain the process in making simple burnt paper. So, let's begin, shall we?

Step 1: We are about to design a cool looking alphabet A. first of all we will open a new file in Adobe Photoshop. Well create a new 266px by 270px document with a white background, and reset your background foreground colors to default (i.e. black white).

We need to create a background of interest for our pressed letters to be punched out of. I decided it would look rather sleek if we used an abstract space background. So we'll spend the next few steps creating this. Start by making a new layer above the background layer and call it 'Stars'. To create a new layer click the shortcut icon in the layers palette or click Layer->New->Layer. Again fill this layer with black. Next, click Filter->Noise->Add Noise and drag the slider all the way to the max of 400%. Make sure uniform and monochromatic are checked, then click ok.

This video tutorial will teach you how to create a funky looking letter D (d as in Domen ... as in ... me). You will be learning layer masking, desaturation, contracting selections, changing the hue and more...

4. Select Airbrush Tool (J) and don't forget to change the foreground color to something different. Now paint on the letter. As you see it paints only the letter and not the sides of it... cool huh?

Title: Shiny brown chrome lining letter i design text effect Description: Ever wanted to create a logo or text effect with chrome border, here you go!!

Incase you are looking for 3d text effects ideas for website design tips or logo project or a freelance banner design work, here is some help for you. Take a look at this free photoshop tutorial.

[9] Thanks for reading, I hope this photoshop tutorial has taught you few photoshop tricks and techniques and you can use them in your website design project. Your final image will look like this.

NO - DEFINITELY MAY NOT! I don't mind, of course, any form of back link to Digital Photo News tutorials section, but taking any one of the tutorials whole and supplanting it on your website is theft. If you really like the tutorials and want to advertise them, why not just hyperlink directly to their URL? Is it possible to submit some of my own tutorials?

Step 3: Select the layer of A then Crtl + click on the layer to select A. Select gradient tool and in the gradient color option pick these colors: Dark Green = #276D25 and Green = #5C9159 put them alternate in four steps in the gradient color option. Drag by using gradient tool diagonally from bottom right to top left and deselect it.
