1. Open the photo to which you want to apply a burned-in edge effect. Just so you know, what we're doing here is focusing attention through the use of lightwe're burning in all the edges of the photo (not just the corners, like lens vignetting), which leaves the visual focus in the center of the image.
One of the all-time classic effects in Photoshop is the burnt edge, and there's lots of different ways to create it, but in this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, we're going to look at a way that's not only easy, it's also extremely flexible.
Here's an effect that I use quite often with my own photos to bring more attention to the main subject of an image or just to give photos a little more warmth and personality. Once you see how easy it is to create, I think you'll find yourself using it as much as I do. We're going to learn how to darken or burn the edges of a photo, creating a vignette effect, and we're actually going to create the effect using a filter in Photoshop that was designed to remove such a "problem" from an image. In Photoshop CS2 (you'll need Photoshop CS2 or later to complete this tutorial), Adobe introduced us to the Lens Correction filter. This filter's main purpose is to help us remove common problems that can be created by camera lenses, such as barrel distortions, chromatic aberration and vignetting. It's a great addition to Photoshop's ever growing collection of photo editing tools, but there's no rule that says you have to use Photoshop the way the folks at Adobe intended. As we'll see, the same filter designed to remove dark edges from a photo also happens to be a great way to add them!
Now click on the Rectangular Marquee Tool and select Subtract From Selection . With the edge of your paper still selected, draw a rectangle in the middle of you newspaper like what I have below.

Now go to Filter>Pixelate>Crystallize and use "Cell Size" 6 4. Deselect and click with the Magic Wand Tool out side the image area (on the white area), than use right click and click Select Inverse 5. Now you have to add Border (width 5 pixels) and Feather (Radius 2 pixels) just like this: Border: and Feather: and now you have: 6. Now ypu have to Fill Border with 70% black color: Deselect and the job is done. Now you have your final result:
Introduction: I am using Photoshop CS for this tutorial, I am sure that any version of Photoshop is suitable, as the steps are very easy. This tutorial is going to show you how I make the vibrant color blurs in some/most of my artworks. With me so far? Good. Please follow This link to see what I mean by "Colorful Blur". Okay, Lets find us a small image. I am not going to go too much into detail here, because I want people to find their own way of doing things But since a lot of people asked how I do it, I thought it would be good to give a heads-up. Anyway..lets use this image here:
