Author: Globator Easy way to make your own Winamp skin. You can use your own pictures. Everybody knows Winamp media player:

If the layer mask is selected, there will be a black rectangular line around its icon (here's an image from my other tutorial, but notice the black rectangular line around the icon? That's what you need to look out for : http://www.mrmalique.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/tutorial2.jpg), so make sure you got the layer mask selected before you start brushing, ok?

Let me start this tutorial by stating the obvious, not everyone has beautiful skin. To compound this problem we have skin eruptions, uneven tan, freckles, unwanted highlights, large pores, etc. In addition, today???s cameras and lenses magnify every imperfection and freeze it for all to see. This tutorial will help the photographer put their models in the best light so to speak. I will start at the point where you have completed your basic processing and have an image with the correct exposure value and white balance.

Start with a large white canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set and name it Tatoo. Now insert a picture you want to add tatoos on, you can download the full view of the photo used in this tutorial here.

In this tutorial I will explain to you how to remove the blemishes, and make a smoother skin. This is very used nowadays especially in the magazines.

1. This is a fairly complex project for the newer users of Photoshop. We will go through the process of making a hypothetical skin for a hypothetical audio program. So let's take it slow, one layer at a time. First off, create a new layer (name it "base") and then make your way over to the tool pallet and select the "Elliptical Marquee" tool. Create a selection that is similar to the one below: (Note: you can add and subtract from your selection by holding down the "Shift" and "Alt" keys.)

Go to your Channels window, and select your interface channel, your skin should look somewhat like the one above (black and white). Now we're going to round up the corners.

Open a new file with 395x612 px and 72 dpi. The next shown instrument will help us to represent the background for the next Media Player to be.

1. Create a new file. Create a new layer. Draw the Elliptical button and fill it with the color shown in the figure.

Draw next a thin stripe on the upper part of the lowest palette. The stripe is reserved for the media player's play list. Place the stripe's layer upper than the layer of the lowest palette of the media player.

Create a new layer and represent the buttons of the media player. It's necessary to apply in this case the Pencil Tool (B) and the color #777777

Use again the Ellipse Tool (U) with the color #282D33 to draw on the top part of the media player several elements reserved for the system buttons.

The tutorial below will show you how you can softening the skin tones and lowering the contrast at the same time.

In the photo here you can see a slight yellow tint in the skin tone. I will show you a few quick and simple techniques to adjust the skins tone.

This tool is very useful and handy to make up the skin. It takes care of keeping the skin structure interface automatically. It is works by selecting an area to copy structure form by ALT + Click. Then drawing over the area to "heal", you can try to clean up a few of the prominent skin features with it.

5. Now It's time to move to the skin. We need to duplicate the layer so that we have two copies of the image, one on top of the other. From the menu above, choose Layer -> Duplicate Layer.

To apply the Matrix skin effect, go to Filter>Filter Gallery. If you are not using Photoshop CS, you can skip this step.

7. Deselect everything! ... To create new layer (in normal mode) and to continue cloning, same to the example: to create "threads" of the rag around the eye and the nose.

1. Open the original photo with blemished skin and go to the Healing Brush Tool, (press J) or select it on the tool box.

Move the mouse to the sampling area, press the Alt key and click on it. This way photoshop sampled the area.

Step 5: Now just slide the brush over the area you want cleaned up and you will see how the area will disappear and you will get clean smooth feeling on the skin if you select a good colour with the eyedropper and have the write opacity.

1. First of all we need to make a selection of the skin. A variety of ways to do it exist. I used my favorite Mask Pro with its color palettes and Magic Brush. But the simplest Adobe Photoshop quick mask would do as well. Just leave the detailed parts like eyes, eyebrows, nostrils, and the lips uncovered by the mask. And don't forget to make a copy of the original image before the job.

Now that you've learn how to make this Snake Skin Photo Montage.you can apply the same effect to the background or whatever you want, have fun with it.

We are going to create a realistic suntan in Adobe Photoshop. Some people are too busy to suntan, some just don't like it. But most of us agree that suntan is attractive and beautiful thing. In Adobe Photoshop you don't have any limits.

Step 2. Make the duplicate of a layer and insert it into group. To make it, press Ctrl + J to duplicate a layer, and then Ctrl + G to place a new layer in group. Group the layer "Blur" is named "Airbrush", and. "Blur" we will use a layer for skin degradation. Then, we will add one more layer to restore a natural structure of a skin.

Step 5. Now merge all visible layers into one by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E. Name this new layer "red skin".

Open up your photo, select the pen tool and draw around the whole face area, excluding vital features like eyes and mouth also don't get to close to the hair line.

This is an extension of the tutorial 6 easy steps to beautiful people. It is a more in depth look at the second step of airbrushing the skin.

i really found this tutorial helpful as i wanted to learn this technique as a more proffesional way to smooth out skin. i found i didn't like the hard light option for my photo, but when applying soft light and reducing the lightness some more i got the result i wanted. people who don't like the results after following the tutorial exactly maybe just need to play around a little to suit their individual photo and styles. let me know of more tutorials like this please.

How to Handle Skin Tones - DigitalArts Create characters that glow from within, using these handy tips for painting realistic skin colouring.

3. To clear up areas where two distinct colors of acne are near, set your "Hardness" to 66% so you can blend the areas more naturally.

Modifying skin tones can be a tricky task, thankfully within levels we have a number of fully-adjustable yet simple techniques that wield some great results. Some of these results depend on the user's perception of what's right, or what's wrong, with the colour of the skin, other results are aided by a library of skin tone swatches that are prepared to work overtime to get you the results you demand.

We have already discussed how to eliminate smaller errors in facial skin. Now let's turn the thing upside down! We'll emphasize them. Using the blue color channel, you can make skin color much more powerful, or tanned-looking, if you please. This method works especially well if you transform the photo into black-and-white afterwards. Although the subject will age about a decade, but the characteristics of their face will be more emphatic, and the wrinkles deeper. A face can tell stories, a poet wrote. Well, the storytelling evening is about to begin!

Take an image with skin well exposed with flash or overexposed natural light, and select the skin areas / areas you wish to recover detail from :

Our eyes can sometimes deveive us. Everyone's eyes see slightly different colors. One person will see a purple color, while another will see a blue. Those that are colorblind cannot distinquish some colors from another. While we see it to be a good skintone, it may not be seen as one to someone else.

Correcting the skin Let us correct the skin. We select an imperfection and we look for a similar texture, shadow and illumination skin area to the one that will be corrected. Move the mouse to the sampling area, press the Alt key and click on it. This way photoshop sampled the area.

How shall I put this delicately? Over powerful flash and lenses that are too sharp combined with multi mega pixel cameras can often produce picture that are a bit unforgiving. Obviously it's not that the people you photograph need their skin softening - it's that you can enhance the image and make them just as beautiful as they look in real life.

See this lesson and learn how to remove a mole, pimple or some other things on the skin, that make you unhappy. After this lesson, your skin will be so soft and it will be looks glamorous on every photography. ;) This trick can also call "Skin Smoothin", and many professional photographer's use it for photography retouch. I have used this photography, which is potential for this lesson because of some pimple, mole that we will remove, so let's go. Step 1 Select the Spot Healing Brush Tool (J) from the ToolBox. See the picture below. Step 2 Choose right click on the picture and choose for DIAMETER option, size of paint-brush, that you will use for "Skin Smoothin". See the picture below. After that, click on unwished things (mole, pimple) on the skin to remove it. Now, when you have removed all unwished thing from face, let's go to the skin. Step 3 Choose Layer > Duplicate Layer and click ok. Now, you have duplicated your layer. See the picture below. Step 4 Choose Filter -> Blur -> Smart Blur. Then, a Smart Blur panel will be appear. Then, choose a default options and click ok. Step 5 Select again a new layer and for Opacity choose a value which you like. If you set 50%, your new layer will be 50% transparent by comparison with the first layer. Now, our photo looks more glamorous, the skin are smoothing, but we have to see the fact, that the eyes, mouth or some other details are so soft. So, we will fix that on the next way. Step 6 Click on add mask layer icon from the layers palette. Step 7 Then, for Foreground color set black color and take the Brush Tool. Then, choose right click on the picture, set the brush size and start painting on the areas, on which you want to remove a blur. We do that, becouse we want to make some parts od picture like lip, hair, eyes more realistic. This is my finally result:

Start with a large black canvas. Make a new layer set titled Media Center. Choose your rounded rectangle tool and set radius setting to 4px and check anti-aliased. In a new layer draw a 080808 rectangle across your canvas. ( width: 250px x height: 31px) Add the following layer styles:

This Photoshop tutorial will teach you how to darken skin colour.

Learn how to enhance flat lighting on tanned skin with Photoshop. This advance technique uses the red channel to enhance the highlights of the skin. Because this technique uses real data from the image instead of dodging and burning, this the final result is natural and real.

To complete this tutorial you will need:

Select the same Rounded Rectangle Tool, set radius to 3px and draw a long and thin rectangle next to the button. Name the layer Position Slider Bar.

You can use these HTML tags and attributes:

Double click to go to Layer Properties. Tick Inner Shadow and Outer Glow and adjust to the following settings in the images below.

Give it a moderate feather to allow the edges to have a little bit of a soft blend for whatever adjustments we do so it?s not as harsh.

Step 1.) Press ctrl-j to make duplicates of your background layer in your Layer Pallete. Now that you have 'layer 1 copy' and 'layer 1?, hide the 'layer 1 copy' by clicking the eye icon and change the 'layer 1? layer mode to Darken.

Photo re-touching is a fine art used mainly in the media for magazines etc, that doesn't mean though, that we cant get good results fairly easily using a few photoshop techniques.

The Final Image

First thing we will do is fix the skin, but before we start, select the eyes, nose, and other detailed parts of the photograph. Do not always select the lips if you want them to have a smooth texture on them. Go to Select>Feather and feather the selection 4 pixels.

The Healing Brush Tool works the same as the Clone tool to paint with sampled pixels of a near and similar area to correct imperfections, but also this one has the advantage that it is able to matches the texture, lighting, transparency, and shading of the sampled pixels to the pixels being healed. As a result, the repaired pixels blend seamlessly into the rest of the image.

Here I've picked an image with a strong light source, which is good because it will push the contrast that really make the shimmers and shines glow. A key thing to know about the tutorial before we start getting into any technical applications is the nature of light and skin. The main difference you will see between dry and wet skin is in the level of specularity, or how light travels around an object. The dryer skin is, the more muted and opaque it appears. When skin is wet it becomes more reflective and glossy with bright hotspots of light. The effect is subtle so supplied here is an animated gif to show you a quick side-by-side comparision of the eventual result.
