In this tutorial I will show you how to create 3D chair model. This is a simple and modern style chair, created from bended tubular metal and some leather for chair seat and backrest. You may think I will use Lofting to create this tubular metal. Wrong. I will use another technique, using spline. It's faster and simpler.

This is the last installment of Various Cool 3D Abstract tutorial series . What you will create here, I think is not too abstract. But, still ok as wallpaper or design graphics element. You will create a lot of boxes filling the scene. Here you will use Array

There are a lot of times when we need to lit an exterior scene. Usually we need to apply exterior lighting in architectural rendering. For example, we have a building need to be rendered along with its environment. One of the fastest and simple way to do exterior lighting is by using Light Tracer. This tool is one of Advanced Lighting type, beside Radiosity. Light Tracer is less complex than Radiosity so it is easy to use. In this tutorial, you will try to lit a building using Light Tracer.

Take a look back at Repetitive Animation tutorial. In that tutorial you learned how to create automatic repetitive animation for car wheels, helicopter rotor rotation, pendulum movement, and many more. By default, automatic repetitive animation resulted from Parameter Curve Out-of-Range Types last til the rest of frames. But, sometimes we need to stop the animation in the middle of scene. For example, car breaks and wheel rotation need to be stopped. This tutorial will show you how to do it.

This tutorial will guide you to create low poly Apache AH-64 helicopter. This helicopter type is my favourite. You may knew, I used Apache model in several tutorial. But, Apache model you are going to model is far more complex. Divided into 8 parts, I don't expect this tutorial would be this long. But, I have to keep it this way in order to show lots of detail in modeling. So, this is a step-by-step tutorial. Suitable for you who begin a ride on 3dsmax modeling. If you are new to modeling in 3dsmax, visit my previous tutorial first, like Modeling A Cartoon Pig. A lot of similar technique will be used here.

1. First, we are going to create a bolt. In Command Panel activate Create>Shapes. Click Helix button and create Helix in Top viewport. Use Radius 1=50, Radius 2=50, Height=150, Turns=8, and activate CCW. Helix is used to create spiral spline like shown in image below. Don't forget to activate Edged Faces view in Perspective viewport (by pressing F4 in keyboard).

Once upon a time .... This phrase has been used in storytelling of childrenbook, movies and animated film. Often, opening shot of this movie shows an self opened book. Piece by piece of paper flipped opening more pages. In this tutorial, you will create this kind of animation. If you think to create this animation is hard, think again.I will show you how to create this kind of animation easily.

In Part 1 tutorial, you have created a book complete with its mapping. Then, in Part 2 tutorial you managed to create a simple flipping page animation. Not quite good animation. That's why we will fix the animation to make it more smooth and realistic. In this tutorial, we will also texture the flipping page.

Hello there. This tutorial gives an introduction of ProCutter & ProBoolean compound objects in 3ds max. You must be thinking why to use these than the traditional ones? It is because these tools give us the flexibilty to subtract many object from a single object at a time. I'll show you in this tutorial. You'll require 3d max 9 because ProCutter & ProBoolean are new in 3d max 9. 1.First of all you need to download this file. Open the file you have downloaded. The scene contains an egg crate with eggs on it.

Here's another tutorial sent by one of my friend to be posted here. Thanks to Mohd. Itqan for writing this awesome tutorial. In this tutorial you will create Push-Up Animation using Biped in 3ds max. Biped surely helping us to make cool animation in shorter time and less effort. You will find out soon. In this first part of tutorial, we will first arrange the biped to make Push-Up position.

In real life movie, sometimes the director uses many cameras to shoot just single scene. Using several cameras, he can capture from many point of view at once. In 3ds max you can also use multiple camera to capture animation. Instead of rendering from one camera at a time, you can automate multiple camera switching and render all views at once. This tutorial will show you how to create multiple camera switching and output to single video file.

With Parameter Curve Out-of-Range Types you can easily create repetitive animation. Even if you add more frames in your scene, your animation is still repeated in added frames. That's gonna save you a lot of time. More examples below show what you can do with Parameter Curve Out-of-Range Types.

1. First, create a new 3dsmax document or reset. In Command Panel, activate Create tab, and click Box button. In Top viewport, click and drag to create a box. Then left clik Modify tab and change its parameters to Length=80, Width=200 and Height=300. Left Segs values to 1.

1. First, create a biped. In Command Panel go to Create>Utilities. Click Biped button. In Front viewport click and drag from bottom to top.

1. Make sure Plane01 (letter) is selected. Go to Modify tab. In Modifier Stack highlight Plane row, and in Parameters rollout use Lenght=2. You'll have wider letter.
