Follow these steps to become a computer genius as a kid.

    Get to know computers. Study different computers and find out how they work. Try looking at yours, or your friends computers or search the web for information on how computers work.

    Get to know some other computer interested people and talk about computers and programming.

    Explore the internet and learn about how the internet works.

    Learn HTML and JavaScript. JavaScript will give you a basic introduction to programming, then you can move on to more advanced ones used to create programs. Note that HTML and JavaScript are used to create sites, not programs.

    Learn some kind of basic programming language (Python is good to start with). Some examples include C, C++, Java, Perl and others. There are many different sites that can teach you this. If you like to read a book instead, you could buy or borrow a book about programming.

    Create some simple computer programs, then when you have almost mastered a computer language, begin creating advanced programs.

    If someone's computer has a problem or breaks down and needs to be fixed, why not try to help? If you don't manage to fix it then you at least learned something while trying.
