// first variable holds the value of how many objects we want.

ii. Next, select it and go to Modify>Shape>Optimize. iii. In the dialog box that pops up, you can set the "strength" of optimization. I'm going to set it to the maximum for better effect.

Making a shape tweening is very similar to creating a motion tweening. Flash creates intermediary frames in which the shape of the previous frame is slightly varied. We need only two keyframes. And as we did in the previous unit, we'll place in the first frame the object with its original appearence, and in the last frame its desired one.

We can consider the frame rate and the number of frames for the shape tweening and any animation done with Flash in the same way as for the motion tweenings.

To add a level of control to our shape tweens we can add shape hints that map points of our starting shapes to points on the ending shape to create a smoother shape tween. The "a" point in Shape 1 will map directly to the "a" point on shape 2 and so on.

1. Select the ellipse, draw an ellipse then select the tool "reshape" (also you can experiment other swish tools for that but reshape tool would used as same".
