Our Mission

wikiHow is a collaboration to build the world's largest, highest quality, free how-to manual in many languages.

Vision

Imagine if everyone on Earth had an expert coach who could teach him or her how to do anything. Eventually, our multi-lingual, how-to manual should contain accurate instructions on almost every imaginable topic. This freely available information will improve millions of lives in both small and great ways.

We want every wikiHow article to be the single most accurate and most helpful set of instructions on that topic anywhere. We recognize that this ambitious goal will likely take decades and the help of hundreds of thousands of people to achieve. But we do take comfort in the fact that as we build it, wikiHow gets noticeably better every month. Just look at the progress we've made since we launched in 2005!
