Edit Steps
- 1If a new pair of boots, read the manufacturers information that came with your new boots. Look for things like; 'All Leather Upper', 'Leather Insoles' or similar statements about construction and/or materials.
- 2Put on a pair of socks that would normally be worn with your new boots.
- The bathtub is the best place to run water until very warm (but not hot).
- 3Put your feet (with socks in place) under the water and get them completely wet with very warm water.
- 4Fill and empty each boot with very warm water and then immediately pull each boot onto appropriate foot.
- 5Wear your boots until they are dry.
- 6When dry, clean your boots with saddle-soap or a leather conditioner. Polish your boots with an appropriate shoe polish and then set them aside for a day or two.
- The next time you wear your boots, you will immediately feel the difference. Tight spots are not tight anymore and the insole matches your feet so well that you can only feel ALL of your whole foot against ALL of the insole.
