Anyway, with a lot of brushes, textures and icons, I started to create my abduzeedo's wallpaper. The idea was pretty simple a collage of elements such as icons and brushes with a light beam coming from the sky as a UFO was abducting somebody.
Anyways I created this image using paths, the brush engine and layer styles in Photoshop. Besides that, I used some amazing Christmas Icons I found online at http://www.iconarchive.com/category/christmas-icons.html
Autumn is my favorite time of the year for being outdoors. This wallpaper is a perfect example of why October is so beautiful. I love all the colors of the trees and leaves. I don't think anybody could walk down this path and not stop and admire everything around them. This is a fabulous wallpaper that really makes you want to go outside. Create a new Photoshop document RGB, 1400 x 900 px. Fill the background with black. Then create a new layer, name it �BG� or something like that and fill it with a Radial Gradient (#55015F - #000000). From the center to one of the sides, as it shows in the images below.

Hokay. I had the same problem. when I was making a path it would connect the endpoints and fill it in, and I could not select the stroke path option. I solved this by going to the top-left of my screen and selecting �Paths� instead of �Shape layers�. IE the pen inside the box with the four node corners, instead of the empty box with the four node corners. Hope that helps some people.

One thing you'll probably notice is the amount of confusing structural lines crossing over the shape; your first attempts are going to be almost trial-and-error, later you'll get used to this really amazing tool and will master the shapes of Chroma. Don't worry trying to find the perfect shape so early, things will fit better together when you have more than 5 separate shapes matching a pattern or a familiar shape.

In this tutorial you'll teach how to create blue abstract wallpaper for your desktop. Also, these techniques in Adobe Photoshop CS2 are suitable as design elements used in web design, printing design, etc. Final result: 1. As every beginning requires, open Photoshop and create new document with dimensions that fit your screen resolution. In my case that is: 1024 x 768. Make sure that color model is RGB.
In order to create a typographic wallpaper, it would make sense to know a bit about Typography in the first place. Typography is the art and technique of arranging movable type. What does this mean? It means that text itself portrays a message all of its own. Its location, font-family, font-style, color and size all determine the message it portrays. Using a really blocky font for a wedding image wouldn't make sense, because blocky text isn't elegant or extravagant, like cursive and curly fonts can be. While this tutorial won't focus on the essence of typography, understanding what makes type look good will help to create a great design.

1. This is the image i am going to work on. I downloaded this image from istockphoto.com I simply loved this image.
Open a new document the size you want your wallpaper to be and make the background black. First, we're going to start with brushing. Go to your brushes and find a grainy brush with a lot of noise. Make sure this brush is pretty round and not too jagged.
Now apply some "Fairy Dust" on the tentacles. Refer to my other tutorial located in effects to find out how to make the dust.
Now comes the finishing touches to the wallpaper. Pick some good spots to put some 2d art/typography. I picked the top left of my piece and the top right. Next type up some text in one of those areas. Remember to stick to small fonts. Add some generic lines and other designs as you would like. Everything must be thin.
Select and merge all the heart layers. Duplicate, scale down, and place as shown. Using eraser tool remove one of the overlapping portions to simulate entangled hearts.
Open Illustrator and create a new document 1024px width by 768px height, with an RGB color.  Select type tool (T) and write “FLORAL�? in black (#000000). You can use any other color if you wish to. Keep the font as Arial Black, size as 150pt, leading as 180pt and tracking 0 as shown below. Name the layer as “floral�?.
Then: Filter � Distort � Pinch: Amount: -70%

Start by creating a new file. We used the size below.
Create a new document what ever size your wallpaper will be, i shall be using 1024�768 for the purpose of this tutorial. Fill your background with a linear gradient using the colors of your choice, i find it best to use the eye dropper and select a color from your main object. The colors im using are #691e35 and #c93663.
1. Open a new file with following dimensions 320 x 480 pixels and make a new layer.
Select the gradient tool in photoshop, place the cursor at the bottom, click and drag to top of the canvas. Your photoshop canvas should now be filled in a black and white gradient.

Now apply Gaussian Blur to this layer (Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur), using the following settings:

Right lets get started, create a new document the size you want your wallpaper to be im using 800�600 pixels just for the purpose of this tutorial. Double click your bacground layer to unlock it. Apply the gradient overlay using the settings below.

open a new document Create a new layer. Fill it with dark brown colour. Go to> Filter>render>cloud You will see some fractal noise on the layer. Go to > Filter> Render> Fibers Rotate the layer > 90 degrees. It doesn't matter which way. and stretch it to fill the canvas. This way, it looks more wooden-like. create a new layer. Create a circle shape. To create a perfect circle, hold shift + click and drag. choose a light beige/kakhi colour add the following settings. And we will see this. Now we want to create a smaller circle shape. We can do this by duplicating the first circle that we made. And then, use [command+T] free transform tool. Once the transform box appear, hold shift and click on one of the four corners, drag the point toward the inside of the circle. You should see this. add the following settings. Note: The settings are important to achieve a good and realistic object. Note how the settings, colours and shadows are arranged to create "lighting" which seemingly comes from the top right of the canvas. We know that photoshop do not have lighting, so we are faking it with colours, like when we draw or paint on paper. Group all four layers in a folder. name it 'Bowl'. Ok, so first step, we set up the table, and get the bowl ready. Now we should start cooking up the noodle.

Open a new file with 800�600 px and 72 dpi. Apply the Rectangle Tool(U) in two stages to create the primary background's layer. First we have to represent the right half and then by copying and changing the parameters we have to represent the left half.

Start working by creating a new file (File>New) of 1920�1200px/72 dpi. Using the Paint Bucket Tool (G), fill the new background layer with #70AF56 color.
