If you want, you can reduce the opacity of the shadow layer by altering the Fill % in teh Layer panel. Our finished Web 2.0 sticker looks like this:

Select the layer with the sticker Layer - Layer Style - Drop Shadow. Opacity 24% Distance 6px Spread 0% Size 5px.

If you want, you can reduce the opacity of the shadow layer by altering the Fill % in teh Layer panel. Our finished Web 2.0 sticker looks like this:

Insert the design and place on front or back of the T-Shirt. Try to stick to the solid fills instead of gradients.

Change your BACKGROUND color to "#7BCA03" and select your gradient tool. Up top make sure you selected the "Reflected Gradient", its' the 4th one from the left. Now holding the "CTRL" key down on your keyboard click on the layer entitled "Sticker". Now starting in the top left drag a diagonal line like this and then let go. You should end up with a small gradient like this.

Select the layer of the sticker. Then Layer - Layer Style - gradient overlay from #eeeeee to #cdcdcd. Scale 72% Angle -79. Opacity 100% Style Linear. Create a new layer under the sticker, select the sticker and press Ctrl+E.

This sticker effect looks great when slapped on web pages, I'm sure you've noticed them for RSS feeds or post comments or something along those lines. Well the effect is simple to make and worth learning. I'd definitely recommend downloading the PSD file for this tutorial from the tutorial files page as It will come in handy especially in the last few steps just to refer to and is probably the best way of learning Photoshop. I'd also like to see how creative you can get with these stickers so upload your image at the end of the tutorial.

This week's tutorial comes by way of request from Bostjan in Slovenia who asked for a lesson on creating the peeled back sticker effect from the OnWired website.

Hey This is just going to be a quick tutorial to show you how to create a sticker with text. For this tutorial you will need Photoshop and a couple of minutes spare. With any of the images you can click them to see the full sizes. The first step is to set the size of you canvas. I'm going to pick a 500 x 500 pixel canvas which will give me plenty of room. You are going to need a colour for the circle that you are going to draw in a minute. I suggest you pick a pastel blue, although you can pick any colour you want. Draw your circle on you page. You are going to need to leave a little space in one of the corners for the over lap that you are going to create. You now need to use the polygon lasso tool. This is used to create a straight line cutting across on parts of the circle. As you can see in the image below use the lasso tool to cut across the circle. Finish the selection in the white space. One thing that you will need to make sure that you do is to change the background layer into a normal layer. When I was doing this I did it in a wrong sort of order. What you need to do is remove the white on the page with the magic wand tool. The move the small cut away from the main circle. You now have to parts. The smaller part of the circle is going to be coloured in a grey shade of blue. For colouring the back of the sticker you need to pick a grey colour and then just move the pointer in to the blue area just a little bit. This is to simulate the blue going through the sticker. Colour the small cut off bit in the colour you want. You need to take you time in this part of the tutorial. You need to rotate, flip and what not so the two edges line up perfectly. The better you line it up the better the final sticker will be. Here you just need to add a small drop shadow underneath the cut off and add a small gradient overlay to the sticker front. For the sticker front use the gradient over lay style, pick the base colour and a slightly dark colour in the gradient. Rotate the overlay using the small circle thing to line up the shadow. Fiddle about with the other sliders to get the perfect effect. Just for effect no sticker would be finished without some text. I've use Trebuchet MS and added the bold effect to the number 3. You need to put the text layer underneath the folded over layer. Crop your canvas as needed. Add you background colour or save it out as a .png and you are done. For a sticker that you can use on any website or application the effect doesn't look half bad and it doesn't take that long.

Step 2 : Add layer style at one of it

Create a blank canvas 800 x 300px and fill the background with black (#ffffff). Step 2.

I won't start with create a new document- You already know that. Tutorial is pretty simple and quite easy, but it's aiming for a beginners who already know some functions in photoshop. If You have some problems, post a comment.

In this masterclass, Leicester-based duo Waste ??? the combined talents of Daniel Lowe and Norman Hayes ??? have drawn inspiration from the likes of Ed Roth and Jim Phillips to create an astounding sticker collection.

Over the years, we have been bombarded with signage and advertisements in such abundance that we barely even notice the environment around us. We take the ordinary for granted and exist in a world of filtered tunnel vision, not noticing our surroundings unless something different catches our eye. In this tutorial, we're going to create a number of characters in Photoshop to remedy this indifference in passers-by. Perhaps world-famous graphic designer Paul Rand didn't have sticker art in mind when he stated, The problem of the artist is to defamiliarise the ordinary, but defamiliarising the ordinary is exactly what we're going to set out to do here.
