It wouldn't be very helpful for people if we waited a couple months after the recall happened to feature the article, would it? We want to make sure we can get the information out as soon as possible. The fact that an article may be written by an admin actually doesn't play any role in whether or not any given article will be featured. All articles written have an equal shot at being featured.

I have to object to any article jumping to the head of the line and reaching Featured Article status when many other articles are not only superior articles, but are in a waiting line to be considered, if they are considered at all.
