First off we will do all the preperations. So start by importing you image of Anastacia, and copy the image to a new layer just above it, the top image of anastacia you will have to resize as shown below.

Comments: Write your comment within 199 characters.

Now press ctrl+enter to test your application, and if you've done everything right, its will work :P. It will look like this: Now to the explanation of the code: Row 1 stops the movie from playing (wow, who knew that) Rows 2 - 24 is the main shutter function, and I'll explain how the whole thing works. First off it looks if a variable called ridr is false, and if it is, it adds the 2 door parts to the movie. And makes “ridr” true. Cause then ou cant click the button many times and add very many gate MCs to it, which probably would make it crash. Tween and tween2 are the tweens that make the doors close.

In this tutorial we will teach you how to apply a glow effect to an object in Flash.

In this tutorial we will teach you how to make a raindrop effect in Flash.

Note: Only the dimensions from the Movieclip are taken. The Movieclip will not be visible in the final swf. So color does not mater here.

Let's get started:

1.4 Hold down Shift on your keyboard, click and start dragging with the Oval tool to make a circle. Make it about 100 by 100 pixels. Remember that holding down Shift enables you to make a circle right away, and not an oval.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a spray effect in Flash. You can try the movie above to see how it looks. You can change the color, density and size of the spray to see how the effect changes. Let's get started straight away!

My orginal size is 650×474, with the constrain proportions option ticked i set my width at 550pixels, then the height should automatically change. Save your newly sized image in a seperate file, save it as image_small.gif. You should have 2 images in total “the orginal” and “image_small”.

Your Reply:

Create a new flash file, set the framerate to 30 for a smooth animation. Next, import the image you wish to add the smoke effect to and drag an instance of this from the library to the stage. (If you do not have an image to use, set the background colour of the stage to black to see the effect). Lock the first layer and create a new layer called smoke. Your stage should now be nothing more than an image / black backdrop.

(Either JavaScript is not active or you are using an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Please install the newest Flash Player.)

2. Draw a circle of size 30×30 (you can choose the colors as you like).

1. Create a new document of size 300×300.

Important: Instance Name should not be confused with Symbol Name.

Layer 1: Right click on frame 66 on the first layer and choose "Insert Frame"

man._x>(Stage.width+6) ? man._x=(0-(man._width-5)) : null;

Here is an Event listener that we will later add to the stage. It contains the code that makes the bitmap data object change color. It has 2 for loops inside it. The first one loops 200 times, and the other loops 200 times everytime the first one loops (40,000 times all up, which is one for each pixel). When every time the second loop loops we run the setPixel function to set a pixel in 'a' to a different colour. We use i and j as the X and Y coordinates for the pixel because then every pixel will be covered. Math.random()*0xFFFFFF is used to get a random colour from #000000 (black) to #FFFFFF (white), which is every colour.

Flash has always had as its nucleus animation and motion. This is, after all, what Flash was originally created for—the animation of objects over time. As new versions are released and the technology evolves, so do the capabilities of Flash's scripting language. What we could once achieve only with keyframes and tweening can now be accomplished in a few lines of ActionScript. Some developers find this reality difficult to grasp, but as we saw in Chapter 2, once you understand the basics, you can build on them with new experiments.

I'm sure you will learn even more if you look at the video tutorial and see how you can make a great handwriting animation effect in flash.

But as Christmas apparently comes early this year, here is an early Christmas present for you, my flash video tutorial on how to apply an eye scan effect to an image of an eye, its quite simple but I thing its a great flash effect that can be applied to other stuff to.

In the last tutorial I showed you how to get up and running with Away3D and Flex. It was a lot of code for what amounted to a simple result, but I assured you that it was going to be worth it. Here you will see why. This tutorial will make use of the code established in the last tutorial to build an application that demonstrates the use of the Flash filters with Away3D objects, and you'll notice that we only introduce one new class, and a few new functions.

The filters property that I'm setting in the above code is an Array property of any DisplayObject (including Sprites, MovieClips, and any other children thereof). That is why I need the square brackets, because it's an Array.

To begin with we are going to make our Shadows class. This class is going to extend MovieClip, have a DropShadowFilter pre-applied to it and a public method to change the drop shadow filters distance and angle.

First, open a new Flash document in Flash 8 and use the text tool to write some sample text. Now convert this to a symbol by choosing the text clicking on Modify > Convert to Symbol... Choose Movie Clip, give the symbol a name and click on ok.

Now, you need to insert a new layer to the time line for the motion guideline. Just draw a line as follow:

In the example, we created a movie clip "m" to hold the text links (the corresponding code/steps were omitted here). The movie clip is initially placed below the bottom of the stage area.

First of all, you need to create the snow object.

By the way, Moyea PPT4Web is an excellent PowerPoint to flash video tool which can perfectly convert PowerPoint file to flash video in FLV and MP4 format file with H.264 encoder. For better quality, this PowerPoint to FLV and MP4 converter enables you to set default transition time between slides; set to ignore the original audio file in PowerPoint presentation and add no limitation of background music for the output video file; check to keep the aspect ratio of slide. In addition, the advanced settings including bit rate, frame rate, video size etc. is contained to meet every specific needs. What's more, the super speed of conversion and the brilliant quality are really beyond your imagination!

The first part tells the image to be at an alpha of 260 (or acturlly only 200 because we started at a level 40), when the mouse is over the image.

Now select the image movie clip we imported before, and go to the properties panel and bring down its alpha to 0 as shown below.

4. Now make a copy of the oval, with the free transform tool rotate the new copy, you will notice that your rotation will rotate on the pivot points new place.

3. Now with the oval tool, select a green color for the stroke and none fill color. Drag an oval inside the eye as shown in the image below.

4. Now in the layers panel lock the original layer by clicking the lock icon, then make a new layer and place it on top, name it mask or glass as I did.

Did you use a shape tween?

Step 1: Create a new flash document and go to File>Import>Import to Stage and select the image you want to use. In this tutorial we will use the image below:

+ Images (to place on the background banner and to make effect with):

Step 1: Create a new document and import photos you want to make effect with to your library by going to File>Import>Import to Library and locate the path of your images. Notice that your photos should have the same sizes. If you can't find them, use the ones below:

I figured this out when I was doing the glint tutorial by Beyond_Style.

First of fire up Flash CS3. If you don't have a copy you can download a trial from Adobes site. Right, now create a new Flash Actionscript 3 document. The next thing to do is set up the stage. I kept my dimensions of my Flash file as the default, 550px x 400px. Also set the frame rate to about 30fps. This stops the animation from appearing to be slow, and chuggy.

To clear the effect, we will need to set empty array to 'filters' property. Code for the same is given below

Now we will add the shape hints to control the shape change.

Modify > frame

The following animation shows an example of the shadow effect applied to a line of text along with something created using a bitmap (Wingding) font:

[ my timeline: notice the blank keyframes between the tween sequences ]

iii. Select the first frame of the Timeline and press F9 for the ActionScript window to appear. Type in the following code:

This will explain how to create a circular Ripple effect in Flash MX 2004. The .fla file also included

In this tutorial we are going to emulate a Grain Effect in Flash which is similar to what we see in old televisions. This effect is widely used in movie scenes to indicate a event that have occurred ages ago. We are going to apply the techniques taught in Random Movement in Flash tutorial to create our grain effect, so I suggest you go through it to understand how the script works. Our final results should look similar to this:

Click on the ball and drag it.

Step1: Create a new Flash Document with the dimension 550 as the width and 400 pixels as the height, set the background color to white.

Line 11: Uses the DisplacementMapFilter class to allow us to displace the image pixels. ( warp the picture ) Parameters of Interest: The first parameter is our Bitmap Object from line 7. The last 2 parameters are multiplers for the x and y displacement. Leave them for now, but play with them later.

 Steps to follow:

Now using the elipse tool again drag out a smaller circle and place in the middle of the first circle use a different colour so you can clearly see what you are doing. see fig.3b below.

When you have the shapes looking like fig.3 abovem, group all the seperate shapes together as a new shape and name it waves. now place in your project so they cover the water see fig.3a below.

Enabling the Effect Authoring Option

As we see Flash displaces the position, but the change of the size takes place abruptly in the last frame.

As we see Flash displaces the position, but the change of the size takes place abruptly in the last frame.

Goto menu File->Import->Import into stage and select our water.jpg image (distributed in images.zip file) The image is automatically placed into the stage, just center it on your screen, like the bellow example.

4. Select the picture an choose Modify>>Convert to Symbol (F8). In the Convert to Symbol window choose MovieClip as Type, choose center for registration point and give it bgMC name. Now go in the Properties panel and give it an instance name of bg_mc.

Even before it was acquired by Adobe, Flash was used by artists to create content for After Effects. Flash has easy animation tools, vector morphing, almost-instant rendering, and a sophisticated scripting language called ActionScript. For many, ActionScript is the key benefit of Flash. True, After Effects has Expressions (written in another scripting language), but they aren't as powerful or versatile as ActionScript programs. But if you know ActionScript or work with someone who does, you probably learned the hard way that it doesn't export to After Effects???that is, until Flash CS3! With CS3, you can finally bring your scripted Flash movies into After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other applications. Here's how:

Now go round the whole of the magnifying glass deleteing all the white bits including the glass in the middle, so all's your left with is the magnifying glass frame work, might be easier locking and hiding the other two layers. The polygon mode and lasso tool works the same as photoshop. Once your done you should have something like this.

So the advantage of animating with Timeline effects is that it is easy, quick and you don't need a lot of technical knowledge. Many beginners find Keyframes, Tweening and Nesting confusing. Timeline Effects by-pass all of this opening up the world of Flash animation to the beginner. The disadvantage of Timeline Effects is that you do not have the same level of control that you would if you were animating through the use of techniques such as tweening. Having said that Timeline Effects are a very powerfully tool and you can have a lot of fun working with them.

Step 12. Click on frame 35 of the text layer and press (F6) to add a key frame and do this with the glint layer as well.

This tutorial was written for the Flash Designer software, which allows you to create flash animations in a much easier way than by using Macromedia Flash. You may get Flash Designer here.

Create a new Flash Document with the dimension 550 as the width and 400 pixels as the height, set the background color to white.

In order to describe all the effects that we can apply on a motion tween previously created, with no need to touch any symbol, we will be focused in the Properties Panel, when we select a Frame that displays Motion-tweened animations, the attributes of the animation for modifying it will appear in this Panel.

Creating a simple dotted or Dalmatian effect in flash in a simple and fast way will be shown with this simple easy flash tutorial guide. Today you will learn how to create the following dotted or Dalmatian effect in flash mx professional 2004.

You have just created a shadow effect in flash mx professional 2004. In summary, to create this flash shadow effect, you have to create two identical words and place them on different layers. Next, change the two layers word into different colors; usually the more contrast of the two colors the better the shadow effect. In order to see the shadow, you have to move one layer to a different location in the flash main stage.

Step 2. Once you have your font you may have to close down and restart Macromedia Flash because it loads your computers fonts when you start it up. Grab your text tool and put a line of text in the middle of the canvas that says "handwriting". Make it pretty large (I had mine at 60). Now Go to Modify > Convert to Symbol and call it "handwriting".

3. Extend frames of ripple layer to 30 and create an animation that enlarges this circle and at the last frame the circle gets disappear. Use Alpha to zero at the last frame for this purpose. (see spotlight effect).

Now with the Oval tool you selected, draw a circle while pressing SHIFT (to make it a perfect circle), and make sure you center it with the align tool.

In this Macromedia Flash tutorial I will show you how to use layer masking to create Steel Effect, this looks great as shown below, remember I have used Flash V. 5.0 but you can use Flash 4.0, I expect you to know the basics of Flash animation like making symbols and tweening. If you don't know how to animate in Flash don't worry you can easily learn it from the Help menu by going to Help -> Lessons you will find around 8 lessons enough for beginners to understand basic flash animation.

c) then We add some "place" effects. This creates the "wormy" look to it. So, add the "place" so that it's every 5 frames. The image shows it more clearly. Then add a stop to the

This tutorial will guide you how to make water effect. By adding some more gradients and shading that could be improved. That is what we are going to make:
