Now it?s time to learn creating an explosion. No fancy plugins needed. This tutorial uses only LensFX Glow. Basics of Max required to follow this tutorial. First create 4 SuperSpray particle systems. SuperSpray01 is the biggest and the others are inside each other.Right click on a particle system and select properties now enter an Object ID.(use different Object ID?s)

For the Lens Flare, load up AfterFX3, this provides most of the settings needed.

However, the user must have a basic knowledge of MAX and some of its functions, like creating combustion gizmos, the video post basic functions, omni lights, etc. Now, without further rambling... 1. Create a SphereGizmo anywhere in the scene. Just place it somewhere in a place where it can easily be found, like as shown below.

First set dynamic menu set. Go to Fluid Effects/Create 3d container.

Next we need to make a bomb. So go to the objects tab, then choose the deformer tab, than on the drop down menu choose Geometric/Deformable. Then click on the bomb object. The steps are numbered below.

6. Thats it. If you want to get rid of the original sphere and just have the chunks, rigth click on the sphere and click "Hide selected object". Here what mine looks like.
