Last week, I did an interview with an amazing designer named James White. One thing that I really like in his work is his use of retro style, so I decided I should explore that more. K Create a new layer (above the layer with logotype), and try again. If it still not working, check the gradient settings.

Coming from a pure marketing / visual stimulation stand point the winner should have no way won. There's not visual enticement on this cover, it shows nothing of a story line, in fact is reminds me of one of those stupid kids at the gym who wear their ski hat in 90 degree weather.
