Now if you remember we created 2 text layers earlier and rasterized the first one. Now it's time to rasterize the second one. Once you have done this grab your smudge tool, and set your brush size to 40px and your strength to 60%. You want to start smudging the tops of the letters of your top text layer. To achieve a nice smokey effect, don't simply smudge upwards, but make small circular smudging motions.

There is something special about these hand picked posters. A certain style that is unique and makes them stand out. Those are big typography posters, with a grunge edge and a retro touch. Typically with big fonts, straight lines, round curves, dark colors and grunge textures.
This website uses very bold, large headlines to immediately 'wow' the user. The user's eye is drawn down the page, associating the similar typography near the top and bottom, as well as by the repeated 're' message.

How cool! The lego blocks look fantastic! The only thing I would change is having different colours per letter at the end, it's a little hard to make our PSD. Other than that, very neat idea! I remember Google doing this with their logo not too long ago as well.
Most people may not notice it, but the text that you use in your artwork can either make it or break it. There are a few basics that can point you in the right way to typography, and that is what we are learning today. First off, we will just show examples of designs with text and we will discuss what makes it good, and what makes it bad.
Create a new document with the size is 8�?X4�? at 100 dpi. Choose the Type tool (T) and create a text layer for each word in your title (our is 9tutorials and Photoshop) .
Use the following vector musk on Curves Adjusment layer:

1. Live Trace Advantage: Infinitely faster than tracing your image by hand, and will allow you to adjust the lines afterward if the tracing isn't perfect. Disadvantage: It's automated and doesn't produce the 'perfect' result as if you hand traced it. Live Trace Tutorial
