Now, double click the text layer that you just created then click the "Create Warped Text" icon in the options bar and use the below settings.

Now press Shift+Ctrl+N to create a new layer. Next select the Horizontal Type Mask Tool and create a text.Try making it look like this one.

Now just turn the opacity of the top layer back up to 100 and you will see the effect. use the eraser tool to erase out any other part you want to show from the original image.

To start off, select the image you want to apply the effect to. This effect works best on fast "moving" type images such as sports or cars, but really, you can apply it to any image you want.

7. Duplicate this layer. Change the Blending Mode to "Multiply" and go to Edit->Transform->Rotate Then just rotate this layer by just a few degrees to offset it from the original. Repeat the above 2 steps, several times but change the Blending mode to "Overlay" and "Screen" and "Normal". 8. Now link all the layers together (except the background) and go to Layer->Merge Linked. Applied Filter->Blur->Radial Blur

12. Select the Horizontal Type Tool. Add any text you want, in White. Place your text in the Middle of the warp. It is recommended you use a fairly small size font size.

Right, first off we're going to do a little fun thing with gradients to start the abstract background off. First off, open up a new canvas (File > New) and make it around 500x500 (or anything you want really). Right, now press 'D' on your keyboard (this will reset the color selection), and then click on the color swap arrow that will swap around the foreground and background colors. Once you've done this, get out the almight Gradient tool (if you can't see it on the toolbar, just right click the Fill Tool).

Here comes the fun part (not that dodging and burning is boring I love 'em!). Go to Edit>Transform>Warp. A grid will appear with handles that allow you to twist, reshape and otherwise alter the layer.

Use the Polar Coordinates Filter ( Filter -> Distort -> Polar Coordinates ) and choose Rectangular to Polar.

Step 1 Create new document 300px x 300px, background white.

In this tutorial, we will use Adobe Photoshop to compile various simple elements into a more intricate design. Having a stockpile of assets and self-made elements is invaluable to any designer, whether simply for reference or to actually use in compositions.

Just finish the Cover of a Catalog i designed, nothing special but i though i'd show the technique i used which can be found here -
