Featuring a product in an ad is a common task for any designer. In this tutorial, we'll look at a flexible design solution that you can use to create one for an energy drink. It relies on a combination of the Difference Blending Mode and the Radial Blur Filter to achieve unique colors, contrast, and lighting.

choise selection.... got to love these ------------------------------ id??i??o??mat??ic /??di??m??t?k/ [id-ee-uh-mat-ik] (adjective) 1. peculiar to or characteristic of a particular language or dialect; 2. a graphic designer with a disgusting obsession with retro type 3. having a distinct style

Eh not diggin any of these shoes nor do these ads pull me in to buy any, i liked Supra Footwear's ad's from back in the day (2006)

First of all thanks for putting these great ads all together. Car advertisements are very often an amazing innovative section...as we can see above :) All are made by great agencies with obviously limitless imagination. Thanks Abduzeedo!

These are great ad- creative ideas. Designs are a lot more attention grabbing when they haven't been seen before...obviously. I've seen a lot of the same stuff lately. It's nice to see different designs.

This tutorial is just an exercise I did with my friend Cameron trying to create a Nike ad, it's not commercial, it's just because we love some of their ads and we'd love to be able to design one, maybe someday. So in this tutorial we will use some images and play with Blend Modes and Color Adjustments to create a really cool Nike Ad in Photoshop.

Woww !! awesome post !! very creative !! but the marie claire ads are so disturbing !! thanks for the great post m8 !!

Now create a Hue adjustment layer. Colorize it and choose the settings you see here (to get the exact shade of blue).

Open Photoshop and create a new document. I used 1920x1200. After that select the background layer and go to Layer>Layer Style>Gradient Overlay. Use #150b06 and # 321c0f for the gradient colors, Radial for Style and Normal for Blend Mode.

One of a companies main goals is to convince consumers that they're getting their money's worth with any particular product. Sometimes, a good advertisement design will go a long ways in the industry. This tutorial will teach you a few techniques to improve your designs in general.

In this tutorial, you will be able to learn how to feature a soft drink product. It really relies on a combination of using difference blending mode and radial blur filter to achieve unique colors, contrast, and lighting to emphasis the effect.

In this tutorial I'll show you how to make a burnt scrap paper effect. This has been found useful in optimizing Google Ads and making them pop and stand out a little more. The results you will get are slightly different each time. This is one of my results:

Ok, so we're going to make a perfume ad. Pretty simple right? Hot girl, bottle of stuff, some words... Let's get started.

Ads for exchanges and linking sites should act as Mouse Click Magnets. Effective ads should draw your attention to them and get people to click. All this and it should be under 12k!SO here are som criteria for making these types of ads:

Now that we've got the right side nice and white, lets press the X key to return black to it's position as foreground color and using the same brushes and techniques blacken the left side of the figure. This is where a little imagination works wonders because you've got to find the spot where you're going to break your figure out of the shadows and let his highlights start to come through.

It will ad a new frame in your animation pallet tool now hide (media) and unhide (media blur) then add a new animation and hide the blur and unhide the next text layer etc. When you are through click the play button and watch your animation I got this.

Duplicate frame. Unhide the circle layers shown below. Keep duplicating frames and follow the animation window shot below to keep unhiding the circle layers.

File > Save for Web, because you don't get all the nifty image sizing and optimization controls right there. Nay, you have to do all these ahead of time. But at least saving the animation is just a one-step process.

Now, group and merge all the layers. Leave the background layer as it is.Now, apply drop shadow in the top layer as shown :

This easy tutorial will show you how to take a few stock images and turn them into a high quality sports advertisement. Here are the pictures I will use. Next open up the basketball picture in photoshop. Duplicate the layer and hide the previous one so you have a backup in case you mess up. Hide the previous layer and on your new layer remove the clouds and sky any means you know how I will use the pen tool. It doesn't have to be perfect here is what I have Duplicate that layer and add noise by going to filter>>noise>>add noise with these settings: Then go to filter>>render>>difference clouds Add overlay to that layer to get a nice effect. Choose these colors as your foreground and background Create a new layer above that and fill with the orange color Then go to filter>>sketch>>halftone pattern Use these settings: Flip that layer horizontally then duplicate it so it fits across the entire canvas Now go to filter>>distort>>polar coordinates Drag that layer below your others and cut the bottom half off and drag it above your other layers. Unhide the layer of our original image and drag it above all the other layers. Add a difference cloud to it and noise then set it to overlay. Set its opacity at about 80%. Set the bottom half of your halftone pattern to darken and its opacity to about 30%. Cut out your soccer player, I used the pen tool yet again and place him on your canvas and size him down. Duplicate your soccer player layer. Change your foreground and background colors back to the original black and white. Hold down ctrl+click on the little icon beside your new layer and it should make a selection around him. Then add clouds and noise. Set that layer to color burn and you should have something like this Now I will add some grunge effect just by using default photoshop brushes. Grab this brush: Choose black as your color and make some random streaks on your canvas Now grab a darker red color and make some more streaks around the same places you put the black ones. Now add some text to the bottom left for a web address.. I made up soccernet.com and made it glow white. Now I am going to add some text on the left of the soccer player that says, the battle, who will win? or something to that effect. Make up whatever you want. The text I used was Berlin Sans FB. Make a layer behind the text and use the same brush we did before to make some streaks that look kind of like underlines. Then choose some colors of your liking for both text parts. I chose some colors that matched what I have and then I used a brush to erase parts of the text to make them look grungy. Here is my final advertisement:

Step 9: We added some ice to our image at step 3 by using an available image. In fact we can do it with Photoshop, so in this step I will show you how.

First step is going to be to open a new file [File > New] setting the dimensions small (this determines how many light rays you're going to have). Make sure the width is twice the height and set the Background to Transparent.

After making your curvy path, turn it into a selection by right-clicking on the canvas and going to Make Selection, after doing this, press delete, now your document should look like this:

Thank you soooooo much for being very descriptive during the whole tutorial It definitely helped me A LOT!

The artwork itself is inspired by Maxime Quoilin, be sure to check out his portfolio he has some fantastic work. Right lets get started, create a new photoshop document your desired size, im using 800600 pixels for the purpose of this tutorial. Set the color #008cda as your forground and the color #06446d as your background, select the gradient tool and a radial gradient. Starting from the middle of your canvas drag towards one of the edges either left or right, top or bottom. You should have something like this.

Let's start by creating a new doc. Enter the name, Width, Height and Resolution for the new doc, in our case we are going to design a 46860 standard website banner.

Open a document 600 x 400. Place the Underwater pic as the first layer.

In this case, I went to Edit: Transform and did some flipping of the layers. I purposely want to have that sun up in the corner as a source of light. Note how it still works as upside down to kind of give the feeling of weightlessness or falling (cool huh?).

Clipping Mask/Water Product Ad

Alright, but what with all that black background? Simple. Go to your Layers palette, open the Blending mode dropdown menu (where it says Normal) and change the blending mode to Screen. Finally it looks like a real blast:

Create a new layer below your text layer, and produce a gradient of light blue-white, as shown below.

The main light comes from the red circle, and reaches the car and the platform where the car is. The blue one reaches only part of the ocean and the coast on the right side. There are still some points with a third source of lighting - very low. This is the case of a space in the clouds, in the rear of the car and all other places are painted in pink.

I just found Absolut Pride Vodka and I thought it would be a great example for an Advertisement in a magazine. So let's begin.
