This set of free photoshop brushes by whirlwindzor creates very realistic looking paint splatters. These work great for abstract artwork, grunge affects and can also be used for blood splatters in horror related work. The set includes 9 high resoutions brushes ranging from about 1800 to 2200 pixels in size.

For this free Photoshop tutorial we will learn how to create bloody looking text that appears to be bleeding and dripping blood. This is a great effect for creating titles for any horror or Halloween related project, plus it's fairly easy to pull off. This tutorial is designed to be suitable for both novices and pros alike. And the effect can be added to more than just text; any type of solid object can be made to appear to be bleeding. In addition, this same technique can be adapted to make a dripping slime effect. Here's what our final product will look like when we're done with this tutorial:

5) Now we're almost done! We want to ctrl+click on that blooddrops layer and then go to selection > modify >contract 3 pixels. Then a selection>feather> 3 pixels.

With the burn tool, deepen the blood wound by making it darker on the critical spots which should be the middle. Take a look at my image to see how I did it.

This layer will manage the colour of the blood splatter. I used #6A0303. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill the entire layer with that colour.

4. Make another new layer and select the blood paint brush tool. You want to now make a nice blood splat mark on your canvas. I used #731010 as my color.

Now using the text tool add “Blood Sport.? using a font of your choice. I used 36 pt Add City Boy, if you would like to download it.3

4) Ok now with the smudge too, pick a brush size that is about 1/4 the width of your blood spot. Now start smudging. Try to make the blood like as though its dripping. Keep doing this until your satisfied with what you have. This is what i have so far.

The term bleed is used for all objects overlapping the border of your document. Let's say your working on a brochure with images against the sides of your pages. You'll supply the printer with a document somewhat larger then the final document will be.

[1] Take a new file of 500 pixels,300 pixels, of resolution 72 dpi in the RGB mode.

The Rough Guide to Horror Movies

First we will need to make a gradient to lay as a background on the stage, I just made a simple light blue metallic looking gradient and dragged it across the stage.

Email address

Next we need to make our text. Above your wooden table layer, create a new layer and fill in with white. Next use your text tool to write your words. Try to pick a rounded-font, and choose a weight of "bold." After you have written everything you want, rasterize your text by right clicking on your text with the text tool and choosing "rasterize type."

Drop Shadow:

In this tutorial you will learn how to give your text some dripping blood, as shown below:

Vampire Blood originally ran in the October 2000 issue of Design and Publishing Center Seminars.

3. Draw in the body of the blood. I like really flowy, thin blood streams, and I work totally at random. I draw what feels right. I just KEEP drawing amd thickening until I like the end result. Then I add in bitty details, like a lil spatter to one side, or a drop that's fallen off his jaw . . . .

Start a ?400?00? pixels, 16 million colors, white background image. Add a new Raster Layer (Layers>New Raster Layer). Enter any text as shown below using the Type Tool on the new layer.

Open the image with PhotoShop and go to Edit > Define Brush Preset and type a name. Done this, open a new documentof 500500 px and white background, create a New Layer (Control + Shift + N) and choose the Brush (you will get by default the brush that you just scanned). Apply it and right-click the layer and go to Blending Options:
