This Photoshop tutorial will teach you how to make the trendy Particle effects in photoshop as seen in many abstract pieces today. This is one of the easy abstract brushing techniques!

This tutorial will show you how to create particle effects in Photoshop. Keep in mind that I only provide the basic guidelines to creating this type of effect. There are tons of possibilities if you experiment and keep your creativity wide open.

Here is my particle steak effect tutorial which I've used for my old layout on this website, one of my favorite effect in which a streak of glowing lines/ particles is emanating around a person/object giving the intention it's somehow creating an energy  power field around the subject.

I find this the fun part, on the particle layer we are going to use a particle brush and draw the particles around the streaks. I used the one from Celestial Star - click here to download they have some excellent free brushes for Photoshop.

2. Open start.jpg and save it as *.psd (File-->Save As...)

Now each particle's texture is changing in consecutive order. But we didn't make an animation, so we do not need this. Go to the Texture tab and enter zero in the Change frame texture speed. Also check the Random texture starting frame. Now each particle has a random texture not changing during its lifespan.
