[17] Thanks for read this Photoshop Tutorial. I hope this is a good tutorial & you can use these Photoshop Techniques & the Final Image should look like as shown below.

Next Grab Brush Tool and use a 6 - 10 px Hard Airbrush to draw the snow. Make sure you have white foreground color. There you have, the Snow Text Effect. I also added a little shadow.

Now type the text that you want to look like Melting Snow, we are using here a nice rounded font called "Foo", you can get it for FREE HERE! (The first one on the list).

Go to Filter > Pixilate > Crystallize. Set the Cell Size to 10 then hit OK. That looks a little to fake still.

Of course, as with any season of the year, getting Mother Nature to pose for our photos isn't always easy. You may have found the perfect winter landscape scene or snapped a great photo of your kids building their very first snowman, and the only thing that would have made the photo even better is if it had been snowing at the time, which of course, it wasn't. Fortunately, when the weather forecast fails us, Photoshop can still save the day. In fact, one of the great things about Photoshop is that if you focus on learning techniques rather than on memorizing steps, you'll soon discover that the same techniques can be used to create entirely different effects! In this tutorial, we're going to be adding falling snow to our photo, but if you've been following along with some of our other tutorials, you may recognize the technique we'll be using here, since we've used to same basic technique to add rain to a photo and to create a starry night sky. Memorizing steps can give you a serious case of tunnel vision in Photoshop, where all you ever see is what's directly in front of you. But when you focus on the techniques themselves, not the actual steps or the final results, and begin to understand the "why" behind what you're doing, you may just find yourself staring at something one day and thinking "You know, I bet I know how to do that in Photoshop!". Life after that will never be the same.

It's fair enough learning some good Photoshop skills but putting them into practice to create good designs is what is important. Through this tutorial I'll be teaching you how to create this cool looking poster design using some real simple techniques. We'll be learning how to use different types of brushes effectively and also stock images.

A lot of Photoshop tutorials around the web show you how to start with nothing and end up with something but if you want to start really designing, you've get to learn how to use good resources, like textures, brushes and renders. Today we're going to be doing just that through creating a snowboard deck, the inspiration for this tutorial came from Aeriform, a design company with a very impressive portfolio; check it out! We're going to need a snowboard template, so download this template made by Nuno Lopes; a great digital artist. Secondly we need an abstract 3D render so download this pack, made by K3 Studio.?? Lastly we need a Chinese font, this is optional though, I used this one so?? download and install it. Sorry for making you download a few things but trust me its worth it, you'll end up using more than once, a good idea is to have a resource folder on your computer where you can put all these resources and organize them into different folders like brushes, renders etc. Anyway lets get going!

The theme of the piece we're about to create is snowboarding and consists in a combination of photography, special effects and typography. The photo is the focal point and is no more than a cut out snowboarder. The type is the actual name of the performed trick, an alley oop. And finally, the wavy lines and splatters tie in the two elements by suggesting motion and speed.

"We all know the typical "flying snowboarder through the air" photo. Add a lens flare, and you've got it made! In this tutorial we're giving the ol' concept a spin by using wavy lines that suggest motion and paint splatters for snow. Let's get to it!" Alex Beltechi

However, when you bring up this dialog, the Shadows slider is already set at 50% (by default), so it immediately adjusts your image. So I always wind up setting the Shadows slider back to 0% (so the image is untouched until I move a slider, just like in Levels or Curves). However, if you always work in the standard mode (you don't click the Show More Options feature), you wouldn't know that at the bottom of the More Options panel is a bu...

Draw a circular selection on Snow Body layer and fill in the gradient you have just created. Start the gradient from top-left side.

I was always impressed with the endless imagination used to design snowboards. Hence I put together a gallery of great snowboard graphics. It's an endless source of inspiration and this is just the top of the iceberg.

With Christmas just around the corner (only 4 months away), it's time to start making your holiday graphics. Today, we shall make a snow globe with a winter scene inside.

Start with a large white canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set and name it Snow ball. Create a new layer and softly brush with a 34 px size brush. This will be the shadow of your snowman.

Without leaving the transform mode, right-click and choose 'Perspective' from the menu that pops up. We need to make the boot look as if it is lying on the snow, so move the corners of the transform accordingly:

You will need a shape that can be used as a pattern. That pattern will then be placed on a circle in order to make some cool and unique looking snowflakes! While experimenting with shapes, I quickly realized the best designs were created through trial and error. The shapes that resulted were part calculated and part random. If you're interested in experimenting, (and I recommend that you do) go ahead and make a shape similar to the one below. I used a combination of the pen tool, simple shapes, and the pucker and bloat filter to create mine. However, since the main focus of this tutorial will be on the steps forthcoming, when I get into patterns and brushes; I've placed the shape I used for download here. It is also pictured below.

9. So, we have prepared for the main part - making snow. Use brush tool to paint snow. Click the upper portion of the text and drag your mouse along the letters. It is possible to move along... to You can move a bit over the letters themselves to increase the volume of snow (to make it hang from eaves or letters). Cover a few letters in such way (Web). Then create a new layer using the same settings (steps 4-7). Cover a few more letters with snow (Design). And then move on to the word "Library" - on a new layer as well.

Today we are going to design a beautiful snowy sky that can be used for either a nice Christmas header or banner. This is a relatively simple tutorial but it brings out a nice beautiful result. In my belief, any beginner in Photoshop can work around the tutorial and achieve the same results.

1. First start a new canvas, doesn't matter about the size, I'm going to use 640*480 for this tutorial. And start up with a transparent background. Begin with a new layer and make a circle using the elliptical marquee tool (m) and fill it with white, this will be the body of the snowman, so it should be big. This is how mine looks:

I found the nose is too sharp so made it blunt by drawing a small circle at the tip and erase the excessive portion.

Finally we add some blending options to the snow layer. Add a drop shadow with a distance of 0, and a size and spread around 5 - 10. You may also need to change some of the blending options on the text if it doesn't look good.

Ngeditfoto give you the simple way to make a snow effect using photoshop, this is very simple and easy, this photoshop tutorial usefull for photo editing, background etc, let's do it... 1. open your image 2. add new layer, do not fill with green, because that is not suitable..he.he, choose black color 3. then choose filter>add noise>monochromatic 4. add blur>motion blur 5. and then change the layer mode to screen 6. last, change the opacity to 50% 7. finish

Next Grab Brush Tool and use a 6 - 10 px Hard Airbrush to draw the snow. Make sure you have white foreground color. There you have, the Snow Text Effect. I also added a little shadow.

Now adjust the brightness to about -12 and the Contrast to 100. This will create a wide spaced snow flake on a black field effect.

Snowing Blizzard Tutorial Photoshop Photo Effects Tutorials In this beginners photoshop cs tutorial we will create a blizzard with the touch of a hard snowfall. To do this we will use some simple photoshop filters, blurs and blending effects.

To thin snow go filter stylize diffuse, select darken only. click ok, then while holding down Ctrl hit the (F) until the desired effect.

Summary: This photoshop tutorial will demonstrate the use of art history brush to create snow covered christmas trees. I have also tried to create rainbow effect. hope you will learn something new here.

Open the picture you want to add a curtain of falling snow to in Photoshop. I chose Carmen Electra for my experiments.

We are done with a winter background; now let???s start to create our own snowflakes. Select the Line Tool (Weight: 5 px) and make a couple of lines using color of #4bb4f0 like on picture below:

A Photoshop tutorial explaining in detail how to create beautiful snowflakes, each completely unique just like real snowflakes. I've also written a tutorial on how to use these snowflakes to create a Winter Wonderland Background or Wallpaper. Start with a blank square canvas of 600 x 600 Pixels.

We are done with a winter background; now let's start to create our own snowflakes. Select the Line Tool (Weight: 5 px) and make a couple of lines using color of #4bb4f0 like on picture below:

Now we need to replace black with transparent. Use the following sequence: - select all (Ctrl-A) - copy (Ctrl-C) - turn on quick mask (Ctrl-Q) - paste (Ctrl-V) - turn off quick mask (Ctrl-Q) - invert selection (Ctrl-Shift-I) - delete (Del). You should get something like shown here.

Now type the text that you want to look like Melting Snow, we are using here a nice rounded font called "Foo", you can get it for FREE HERE! (The first one on the list).

Again select Brush Tool (B) and fill the text with snowflakes. Play with Master Diameter. I set it from 16px to 50px depending of the snowflake.

So then photoshoppers as we approach christmas I thought I'd get into the festive spirit and make a few Christmas tutorials! This first tutorial is going to show you how to make the same star/snow effect I've got in the header of the site. This wasn't exactly all that hard to do but it's a fiddley one so open your photoshop, and let's get to work!

Open the picture that you want to put snow in it. That's your background Layer now. Create a Layer Group above the Layer group. In the Layer Group Create a new Layer. Fill this Layer with 50%Gray. Now go Filter > Noise > Add Noise... 50%, Gaussian Distribution, Monochromatic. After that go Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur... Radius 4.0 pixels.

There is your simple snow effect, and as you can see it's quite simple! The miniature snow flakes look almost as if they are illuminated by light - thats my favorite part of it!

Open up your image you want to add snow to, create a new layer and fill with the color black. Then goto "filter > noise > add noise" use settings below,

This very easy tutorial will tell you how you can add snow to your photo. I'm using a beautiful winter photo by Magda Skale.

Some images would really benefit with falling snow, but if you missed out you could always add it later with Photoshop. That way you can keep warm and dry!

As with most snow scenes we are still left with a colour cast but using Photoshop 7's new Auto Colour commands found under the Image > Adjustments Menu this easily removes the colour cast.

Making snow is not all that hard, but it does consume some time. We will start with an earlier picture that is appropriate and start with the basics and proceed from there. First thing I do with any chop is to up the resolution from the crappy 72 dpi to 300. This allows me cleaner work overall. This also adds some steps that may or may not be needed if you don't do this. After upping the resolution, make sure your colors are set to black & white. Then create a new layer, in my case will be named falling snow Then, because of my upped dpi I draw a small rectangular box and fill it with clouds.

Advanced way is using layer mask; it's non-destructive as you do not delete anything but simply hide it. Select Layer - Layer Mask - Reveal All, then take large soft brush, set brush opacity to 20-30%, press D to set foreground color to black and paint over the areas where you want to hide snow. Set brush color to white to reveal snow again.
