This is a great small Adobe Photoshop tutorial I made a while ago, a tutorial on how to make cartoon style balloons, that you can use for anything, birthday cards, webdesign you name it. I hope you'll enjoy it.

5. Hold down ctrl and press D, to deselect all, now go to filters -> liquify and with the tool called forward wrap from the left panel, drag some times to make the shape look like in the image below, remember the important thing is that the white shiny shape should follow the balloons round curves.

Create a new layer, LayerNew Layer... (Shift+Ctrl+N), name this layer band aid. Click on the Rounded Rectangle Tool using setting shown below.

I have noticed a lot of interest in doing various cartoon projects within Photoshop. Whether it's creating a cartoon from scratch or simply adding some kind of an effect to a photo to make it look like a cartoon, it is very popular. Well, since every cartoon needs to have some kind of speech balloon, or dialogue bubble, I decided to create a tutorial on how to make one. It really is quite simple. These speech balloons are also great for just adding to a picture. Scapbookers should love this one.

Duplicate the original face layer. Change the layer mode to "Normal" and opacity to 50% from top of the layer palette.

Insert a side pose of the face.

[1] Take a new file of 300 pixels, 415 pixels, of resolution 72 dpi in the RGB mode.

It is always a good idea to label all of your layers so that you know what they are and keep them organized.
