Now create the same type of selection for the rest of your text, but do this by "adding" to the selection. To add to selection, in the selections' menu bar, select the "Add to Selection" button.

Now type the text that you want to look like Melting Snow, we are using here a nice rounded font called "Foo", you can get it for free here! (The first one on the list).

Set the foregroundcolour to #C2C2C2 and grab the text-tool. Type a word. I've written "156" with Times New Roman in size 120 pt. Then I've given the text a 2 px. big Stroke, but it isn't important for the result.

Next Grab Brush Tool and use a 6 - 10 px Hard Airbrush to draw the snow. Make sure you have white foreground color. There you have, the Snow Text Effect. I also added a little shadow.

Double clic on the text layer to open the Layer Styles. Use Bevel & Emboss and Stroke and set these settings:

[1] Take a new file of 450 pixels, 400 pixels, of resolution 72 dpi in the RGB mode.

c) Now its time to add the blending options. (layer > layer style > blending options)

Blend Mode: #CCCCCC
