9. Lastly add your cut photo, we ned to get the outline shape of your photo so we can make a dark fade border. So in the layers window click and hold 'ctrl' and 'a' on your photo layer. 1. Create your colour of background or open up your image you want to apply the sparkles to. I chose a deep purple to represent Space. Then choose your star colour. I chose a a very pale purple (light colours usually work best, though you can use dark colours depending on your colour scheme). Then right-click on the layer in the layers box (double click the lock if it says 'Background' or similar to make it a layer) and go to 'Blending Options' Then check the 'Outer glow' and set the blend mode to 'Screen' and make the colour a lighter colour than your star colour. Use the settings below:
