In this Photoshop photo editing tutorial, we're going to learn how to reduce the appearance of 5 o'clock shadow and beard stubble in a photo. Of course, if the photo is of a guy out in the rugged outdoors and he's dressed like he's off to wrestle with a mountain lion, you may not want to remove the stubble. But in other types of photos, it may just make him look like he could use a rest, or maybe he's been resting a little too much, in which case you'll want to remove it, or at least reduce it. We're going to see how to do that here.

1. Create a new file (file - new - 200*200px). This will be our brush to create the beard. Select your brush tool and use a round shape with a size of 4 pixels to create a few random lines like this. Make sure your foreground color is black #000000.

It's a way too simple and short tutorial to make it look realistic It's a simple one that requires almost no work but does the trick for photoshop users that like to play around ;-)!

You don't want that kind of brush. When painting something like a beard in real life, notice how you move your hand around in different angles? We need to tell Photoshop how to kick up the randomness of how it paints down each brush stroke.

Today, exclusively on Web Design Blog we'll show you how to add beard to anyones face, it doesn't matter if it's a girl, or your best friend. This video tutorial will show you how easy it can be done in just a few minutes of work.

4. Now start brushing using your brush tool but change the brush size to 25 pixels max! You also might want to do this on a new layer (layer new layer) to keep it simple and easy for yourself! This is what I had when I finished brushing! Hopefully you've got something similar to this You might want to change the blending mode to pin light, it gives the beard an older look!
