Photoshop Tutorials » Text » Animation Text

STEP 1: We will animate a Glow Effect (we created the effect in another tutorial - click here to see Glowing Text) We have a text with a Glow effect The text is in a layer, and the glow is in a separated layer, with a mask.

Now you will need to select File/Save Optimized As. Choose a folder and a name, and your animated glitter text is web ready. Here is how mine turned out.

Hit the play button to test your animation if you like. Or just go straight to File>Save as for web and you are finished.

Shining text effect is great for banners, animated logos and avatars. Open Adobe Photoshop and create a new 4x4 px file and zoom it in 1600 times.

11. Now with the 2nd frame and the gradient stripe layer selected, hold Ctrl and drag the gradient stripe across the text to the other side, making sure it is once again not overlapping the text.

Open animation window. For first frame hide the second line and logo and unhide magnifying glass, first line and masked text.

9. Now in your animation screen (if you don't see it go to window>> animation), on the first layer you see in the animation window hide all layers except text layer 1

15. Small to this Text with Transform selection [Ctrl+T] now press Enter key and slide to the Text with Move tool , as shown below

Export the picture as ".gif" file and you have a blinking neon text using the Photoshop CS 2 and ImageReady CS 2:

When you've got your layers copied and edited, jump to ImageReady. In ImageReady, you'll be working with the Layers Palette and the Animation palette.

2. Now everything is ready. The first frame should contain the beginning of the text. In our case it is the upper left part of the ?W? letter. Select Eraser Tool (E) and erase everything, except the upper left part. In animation panel set frame delay time to 0.04. The first frame is ready.

In this tutorial we will create animated sliding text with some useful effects and features which will help you learn some new tricks in Photoshop. This tutorial will be created using Photoshop only, and the resulting file will be a published '.gif' file.

This is not a program you usually do main animation to do. Adobe Photoshop / Imageready is just for small animations such as the tutorial I'm doing with you now. What i'll be teaching is how to add a regular text layer and a motion blur text layer together and form a animation. Above is the example i created.

Activate Animations-palette right under the Tool-menu. In Animations-palette you can see one frame. Go to Layers-palette. In the left side of all layers there is an eye. If you hit the eye, the layer will be invisible. Hit the eye on "5" and "6". Then go to Animations-palette and hit Duplicate Current Frame. Then go back to layers-palette and make "5" visible. Go back to Animations-palette and hit Duplicate Current Frame again and then make "6" visible.

Now you can see your picture in Image Ready (IR). If you don't have the :Animation" menu up, go Window > Animation

3. Rasterize the text layer. Duplicate this layer 11 times! Name these layer's 50, 99,199,299,399,499,599,699,799,899 and 999. At the time you have done that it should look like this:

Open animation window. For the first frame select the text layer. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.

[13]-Now go to Window>Animation & then make the Duplicate Frame with the help of click on following Button which is indicating by Hand sign

[9]-Now select Text Layer & then go to Blending Options & select Bevel & Emboss Photoshop Technique-How to use the Bevel & Emboss feature

[15] See below for final photoshop output image. I hope this is a good tutorial and you can use these photoshop tips in your graphics design project.
