In this Photoshop tutorial you will see how to make an abstract effect that I would like to call the 3 glowing eggs.

With Twitter quickly becoming the hottest site to be seen on, everyone wants to stand out from the crowd. There has already been a range of quality designs showcased on various sites, which has shown an emergence of trends such as the ???sidebar???. Let???s take a look at some of the best practices around Twitter background design and get to work creating our own.

1. Open a new document of any size and fill it with black, then place some random Lens Flares on the same Layer (Filters->Render->Lens Flare) 2. Apply Filter->Sketch->Chrome an use Detailes=3 and Smoothness=10

Create a new layer and fill with a blue (or other color) of your choice. Set layer to color mode and if you wish rotate your canvas 90 degrees.

9. Import the cat images by opening them up and using the move tool to move them onto your canvas. Turn them all off but the kitten on the blue background and click on the kitten layer.. Use the lasso tool with feather = 0 to select around this kitty. Click the "add Layer Mask" button on the bottom of the layers panel. Use the move tool to Position this kitten in the upper left heart so it looks like it is hanging out of it.

This is a very simple technique for creating those nice-looking abstract backgrounds you see everywhere these days. Start with a new document. I'm using 500px x 150px but any size will do.

This tutorial is the first part of a series that will explain how else you can bring your images/backgrounds to life, sign up to the RSS feed to receive updates when these tutorials are released,

Choose the photo that you want to make the Bricks Background Montage, try to find one with a solid color Background like ours, the effect will look much better and the process will be much easier.

Hello Photoshop people, today we are going to see how to change/optimize your photos background, this tutorial is for all your inside-photos, this mean that the photo that you want to use, MUST have a solid color Background, so let's begin.

Backgrounds with straight horizontal or vertical lines create a distinctive look, and like any form of textured background, provide relief from whatever is in the foreground. Lined backgrounds can be used to enhance artwork and are also useful on web sites. They can also be used to create video monitor or TV scan line effects. Luckily for us, they are quite easy to make in Photoshop. Here's what our finished background will look like:

This tutorial will demonstrate a quick and easy method to create really wild psychedelic backgrounds. Backgrounds like these would be extremely difficult to paint by hand, but there's a trick to doing them in Photoshop in a matter of seconds.

The number of Photoshop backgrounds that can be made is absolutely limitless. Never buy them; it's a waste of money. Don't bother downloading them free from the net, because it is so easy to make most of them yourself. Also, making your own Photoshop backgrounds is more fun and they can be highly personalized for your specific purpose. In addition, it increases knowledge of Photoshop?s facilities. If you are good with a brush or airbrush then there is another way to create your own backgrounds.

Premise for Photoshop Tutorial Series: You are a web designer at a small agency, and a client has called to request that you prepare a mock-up for a new home page for is company that sells gifts in Victoria. This Tutorial series was perfected and used in College Web Master classes by Author/Instructor Scott Frangos. Now you can build your Web Graphics skills in Photoshop, as you learn your way through this classroom tested series on preparing Art for the Web.

In this tutorial we'll create a background effect. We'll use no image or resources at all. Just some gradient and a couple of filters. That's it!

In this tutorial we'll create a hi-tech background using any image. It can be any image provided it has some colors in it. As we are going to change the image completely, it doesn't matter what the image subject is initially.

In this tutorial, we'll create a Christmas theme background with snow flakes that can be used for making e cards, a christmas web site content box or for that matter any holiday related stuff.

This photoshop tutorial will teach you to make use of blending options and brush to create a cool text effect on background image.

What if you've converted your Background layer to a normal layer and then decide you want it to be a Background layer again. Is there any way to convert it back? There sure is. With the bottom-most layer in the layer stack selected (this only works on the bottom layer in the layer stack, since Background layers must be at the bottom) just go up to the Layer Menu at the top of the screen, select "New" from the list of options under the Layer Menu, and then select "Background from Layer". Photoshop will convert the layer to a Background layer and rename it "Background", written in italics indicating that once again, it's "special".

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, we're going to learn how to use a photo as its own background, which is a great effect to use with wedding photography but can also be used with any image. We're going to be creating two copies of our photo, using one as our main image and the other as the background, which we'll be colorizing, flipping and fading into more of a watermark-style image.

In this Photoshop tutorial, we're going to learn how easy it is to turn any photo into an interesting background using a couple of basic selection tools in Photoshop that, quite honestly, seem to serve no other purpose other than helping us to create this effect. I'm talking about the Single Row Marquee Tool and the Single Column Marquee Tool, which by default are hiding behind the Rectangular Marquee Tool in the Tools palette. Even Adobe doesn't seem to consider them very useful, since they're two of only a handful of tools in the Tools palette that don't have a keyboard shortcut associated with them. Yet as we'll see in this tutorial, when it comes to creating simple backgrounds or wallpaper in Photoshop, these two selection tools are hard to beat.

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, we're going learn how to quickly and easily create a simple photo studio background in Photoshop which can then be used to make any portrait-style photo look as if it was taken in an actual photo studio, even if it was really taken in your office, your kitchen, your neighbor's backyard, or basically any place other than a photo studio. As with most Photoshop effects, this background works best when used with the right type of photo, so since we're trying to make it appear as if the photo was taken in a portrait studio, it helps if the person in the photo is dressed nicely, hair in place, and sitting in one of those completely unnatural portrait studio poses.

Select and merge all the layers except background layer. Duplicate the layer and move it to the top. Change the layer mode to "Soft Light".

Select the background layer. Duplicate and move this layer above all the layers in layer order in layer palette. Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Select "Fisheye" style from the preset warp shapes. Apply settings as shown.

Before we begin I'd just like to say that, since this is a random effect, you probably won't get the exact pattern that I obtained in my picture. But that's ok! There's plenty of randomness out there for everyone. I'm sure you'd much rather have something that's completely your own anyway, right? Also, you may want to create your Funky background on layers in the same .psd file as your text/graphic image. That's fine, but make sure your computer can handle the processing. You may end up with quite a few layers in one file; unless you merge your BG FX layers together. You'd do better to create this background first, then create your text/image on layers above it; so that your background images are on the bottom of the layers palette. I will be giving these instructions as if you were creating your background as a new picture, by itself. It can then be dragged into another image with less hassle.

What a great website! Just this morning I was trying to change the background of a photo. This is a resource I will definitely come back to.

You will learn how to make a glowing background as shown in blue color. you will learn how to link or overlap text on one another and couple of other text effect.

- Start with a new document. (Choose a large preset for a better effect.) - Dark backgrounds work best, so I used Black. - Hit the 'X' key on the keyboard to set the foreground color to White. - Then select the 'Brush Tool (B)' tool, and with a medium size tip (I used tip size of 5) just click and draw a few lines in a diagonal direction, as I have captured.

This Photoshop tutorial will teach you how to remove the background from an image.

i didn`t see it yet, but your site is very nice, i learned from it many things in flash ans photoshop, very thanks

Start with a large white canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set and name it Illustrated Clouds. Now insert a Gradient background design into your canvas.

Well im looking for a really good and really really awsome default backgrounds because alot of other websites don't have any and im really hoping that this one works!

This tutorial will show you how to extract something in a photo from its background and put it onto another background. Now this is a fairly simple technique which some may see as being a bit boring - but to liven things up a bit Ive chosen a picture which will put a little smile on your face (if you a guy anyway). Ok, lets begin. Here is my photo: See I knew you would like it... Anyway, for this tutorial the main thing you will be using is the Magic Wand Tool. So select that when youve got your image opened up. At the top you should see a setting which is the tolerance. This sets how much of the image to grab depending on how similar nearby colours are. For this photo I am using 30 however you may neet to change depending on the lighting in your image. Now simply click on the background of your image and press delete on your keyboard. Just keep repeating that until all of your background has gone to white. You may need to alter your Tolerance setting for some parts if the colours arent that different. Heres my image with no background: Now we need to add in our new background. Simply find an image. Im using a photo of a sunset with some trees in the background. Now copy and paste your background image into the Photoshop document. Now just make sure that the background layer is behind (below) the layer with your object/person on it. And thats it. Heres my final result: As you can see this can be used to create some very nice wallpapers.

Create a new document what ever size you prefer to work with, il be using 800 x 600, set your foreground color to white and background color to black. Then do the following steps

Don't forget to place the backgrounds correctly. The last feature brush effect. Choose the brush with the right mouse's button like in the picture:

Webmasters who look to create a professional looking Notebook or Journal themed website, often run into problems with a repeating background that is believable to the user. This tutorial will teach you how to create a notebook or journal background, and we will soon publish a tutorial on how to make it nicely repeat in a website layout with CSS.

Make a click on Add a Mask selection on the lowest part of the layers' panel and apply a standard brush, Brush Tool (B), Opacity of 10% and black color to clean out the yellow background, until we get it semitransparent one.

Create a new layer and use on it the Floral set's brush. The brush's color is white and the layer in case must be placed above the trees' layer, but lower than the layer containing the mill (on the layers' panel).

Here is a few different results. You will be using the power of the blending modes a lot in this tutorial. As much as you might want to understand or do understand on a technical level, it's really their effective application in Photoshop Design that just makes it all worth it. It is important to know that what they are doing is simply mixing the color and light attributes of the selected layer with the layer beneath it. The results will greatly vary depending on what situation you're in but there are general standards discussed in the TutorialKey Photoshop training program and Photoshop Designer training.

2. Choose a dark foreground colour and lighter gray-toned background colour. Select the Gradient Tool, click on the gradient to edit it and select Foreground to Background as the setting. The gradient direction will be upper right to lower left.

Then copy the background again with the new pattern and use the earlier method for displaying it correctly in the pattern's composition:

Choose the photo that you want to make the Bricks Background Montage, try to find one with a solid color Background like ours, the effect will look much better and the process will be much easier.

At times you like some element or person to stand out from rest of the elements in a photograph. This can be achieved by defocusing unwanted or less important elements in the background.

As we explained in our Photoshop Channels guide, a channel is just a greyscale representation for a selection. The wave, which is white is selected, while the deep blue sea in the background, which is rendered almost black on this channel is almost completely not selected.

Step 3. Pick Move tool (V) and drag kitty.jpg onto pda.jpg. Our photo of kitty is now on a layer called "layer1". Rename it to "kitty".

I wrote this tutorial because i had a lot of requests about this topic. I'll show you in details how to place your photo into any picture you want. You should follow some basic photo montage rules (pictures should have the same lightness level). Also we'll hide some body parts of this girl behind the grass and tree roots to make it more realistic.

Now if you want your photo to look more natural with the new background, you will have to tweak a little the colors of the overall result, for this we have to Merge All the layers, you can do it quickly pressing Shift + Ctrl + E (merge visible layers)

In this tutorial we are going to remove an unwanted background. To do so, we first have to isolate the foreground objects that we want to keep, in this case, some beautiful purple orchids.

If you're subscribed to Before & After magazine, chances are you received the article on how to create an IMAX-like photo background for your Web page a while ago. They showed you how to do it in Adobe GoLive using its built-in CSS tools, but what if you don't have GoLive? You can easily create the same effect when coding the Web page yourself with CSS. In the first part of this tutorial, you'll learn how to choose and prepare your photo and get it ready for the web. Let's get started.

Using custom patterns is a great way to fill large areas. Open up a new document of 12 x 12 and select the pencil tool. Draw a pattern that will repeat. Here's the one that I've drawn.

I've seen people try to separate an image from its background by using the Pencil tool, by playing with the Magic Wand, and even by trying to draw an outline with the Lasso tool.

1. Open a new image, press Ctrl + J 2 times to "triplicate" this layer. Here we use a texture to make a complicated background

Step 4 Duplicate the layer. Right click on the layer and press duplicate, then ok. Double click on the background layer and press ok. It will be renamed layer 0.

That's a good background without a lens flare? Go to Render>Lens Flare and use the 105mm Prime selection and mess around with the brightness. Put it in the middle of your image, and you're done!

10. Now go to Filter> Lighting Effects and choose Omni for the lighting style. This should center the light. You can choose different layers to have this lighting effect, and some not to have it. Whatever floats your boat.

Step 1: Create a new file, 500x500 px, with the Black background. Then use The Gradient Tool to make like this

First of all you need to get two colors that are army like. Green and a tan yellow. Then press Filter > Clouds. And then Filter > Difference clouds. Press Ctrl+F a few times till you get something like this

This effect has become increasingly popular for use in designing backgrounds. By using the live trace effect, you can take any stock image and transform it into an outline that can be placed behind your main subject. The technique works in Illustrator and can be used in Photoshop as well. Experiment with blend modes and remember that you can save the outline as a symbol or a custom shape to use in other designs.

1. Begin with a new file, with a black background, I choose 300x300 but any size will work. Then create a new layer in the layers palette. Now take the Gradient Tool and use this settings.

1. Open up a new canvas like the one below. My canvas is 325 x 100, which is always a good size for a signature. Try to keep your signatures small as people are drawn to big effects in small pieces sometimes :

1. Some people ask me how to do that. Well that is only a modification with blending effects, horizontal and vertical turn around and the fade wave effect.

I. First, make a new image of 250x250. Set your background color to black, the foreground doesn't matter. Press ctrl+backspace to fill the canvas with black.

5. Now time to duplicate layer 1 copy and at this point you know how to do that if not go back to step 3. Now when you have duplicate that layer go to Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap and set the Highlight Strength to 20, Detail 1 and the Smoothness to 15.

Create an original background image by experimenting and combining filters in the filter gallery, then tweaking it using the channels palette, blending modes, and adjustment layers.

Continuing with part 2 of this tutorial, expand the canvas of the newly-created background image to create room for some border effects. Then isolate a silhouette using the channels palette and bring that into the image. Finally, add some text to finish the design off.

Have you ever seen those cool looking abstract desktop backgrounds people are making? Turns out they aren't so hard to make! Follow this tutorial to learn how to make some of the coolest designs possible in PhotoShop.

Select the background layer. Duplicate and move this layer above all the layers in layer order in layer palette. Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select Warp. Select "Fisheye" style from the preset warp shapes. Apply settings as shown.

Start by creating a new file. Fill it with white color. From "Filter" menu select "Render>>Lighting Effect ". Apply settings as shown.

Select and merge all the layers except background layer. Duplicate the layer and move it to the top. Change the layer mode to "Soft Light".

As you can see this tutorial is extremely easy, and the effect looks pretty futuristic, and cool. Try adjusting the colors used in step #4, and apply different filters other than the Plastic Wrap in step #5 to get completely different results. The key to perfecting your abilities with Photoshop is practice, exploration, and more practice.

2. Fill the background with #000000 using the paint bucket tool and create 3 different 50-300mm lens flares (filter - render - lens flare - 50-300mm) and place them on your black background like this.

Now, on every layer you have, hold and drag the gradient a little bit in the corner and you will get a cool multi-colour effect on your background.

1. Create a new document (I will be creating mine at 300x120). Set your foreground color to black, and your background color to white:

In this tutorial I will show you how you can make a large diagonal line pattern for your background image in just a few easy steps.

Now that our web page background image has been Sheared, the left and right edges will line up nicely, and the tiling line is now in the centre, where it can be easily worked on.

Start with a 500 x 500 pixel document. We will work large so we can see the Matrix effect in large! Once you've created your document size. Make you foreground colour #000000 and your background colour #38E910. Finally make a new layer and fill in the background with a neutral black (#000000)

4. Now either use color balance or hue/saturation to color your piece. Color Balance and Hue/Saturation is located at image - adjustments, Only one more easy step and we're done!

1. Create a New Document, for this tutorial I used 400x400 with 300 resolution . Fill your background with black .

This completes the creation of the Patchwork Background effect. Here is how this type of background might look in a basic website banner after adding some text, and a few graphics:

Additional Notes: From here you can do all sorts of things to it and make it your very own funky Background Hope This Helps.

1. Make a new document, any size doesn't matter. Now press "D" on your keyboard to reset the foreground and background colors to black and white. Make sure your background is white.

1. Create a new 165x165 pixel document with a resolution of 100 and name it Mini-Techno. Now press D then X and fill the document (with White). Now apply a noise filter with settings [Amount: 300%, Distribution: Gaussion, Monochromatic: Checked].

Ok, I'v had a lot of people asking me about backgrounds, so to shut youup heres a tutorial on how to do backgrounds the way I do.

Webmasters who look to create a professional looking Notebook or Journal themed website, often run into problems with a repeating background that is believable to the user. This tutorial will teach you how to create a notebook or journal background, and we will soon publish a tutorial on how to make it nicely repeat in a website layout with CSS.

Now we are going to create an user login form at the bottom of our layout. Select the Rectangle Tool (U) and create a rectangle using the color #281c10. Then open the Layer Style window and add a stroke with the settings from the following image.

4. Now its time to make the Tenticles. First create a new layer. Select The Polygonal Lasso tool, and make sort of a diagnol Triangle shape Like this:

This tutorial will show you how to design backgrounds with ease of future adjustments in mind. Applying these techniques in your designs will make color adjustments a breeze, sizing/scaling changes in your background incredibly easy, and give you unprecedented control over how your background looks with very little effort involved.

When it comes to removing background in photoshop, there are several different paths you can take (as always) to get to the same destination. We will be using the standard Eraser Tool in this tutorial. The Background_Eraser Tool is also very handy for this.

This video will show you how to replace the background of an image, this video is for people just starting out using Photoshop. http://www.sam8392tutorials.co.cc/

This Photoshop tutorial will teach you how to create a soft background for your image.

This tutorial will teach you how to create an awesome background that can be used in layouts, logos, signatures, and whatever else you need.

Everything about you is boring, your job, your life, your face, your personality, even your fucking website background for christ's sake.?? But fortunately for you, I'm going to help you eliminate another boring aspect of your life.?? Full CSS backgrounds allow you to add more than just some lame repeating gradient or pattern, they let you create a truly unique background that doesn't have to repeat.?? I must warn you however, I fail majorly in this video, somewhere in the middle.

1. Create a new document (640*480). 2. Fill the background with #000000 using the paint bucket tool and create 3 different 50-300mm lens flares (filter - render - lens flare - 50-300mm) and place them on your black background like this.

This tutorial will show you how to create a simple background that repeat horizontal using Adobe Photoshop. These backgrounds are effectively used in non-fluid designs to give fluid like look, even though the actual size of the page content stays the same.

NO - DEFINITELY MAY NOT! I don't mind, of course, any form of back link to Digital Photo News tutorials section, but taking any one of the tutorials whole and supplanting it on your website is theft. If you really like the tutorials and want to advertise them, why not just hyperlink directly to their URL? Is it possible to submit some of my own tutorials?

Now, just to be sure the sky is completely black we apply once again a layer adjustment. Much milder this time, just to be sure that we are not going to select anything from the background. In order to have also a softer selection we are going to apply to this mask a Gaussian Blur Filter: Go to Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur and set the radius to 0.8 pixels.

The idea isn't to see how you could fit this into your work, the idea is to introduce new techniques and ideas that you might be able to introduce into your skill set. Think outside the box grasshopper.

1. First of open photoshop and make a new document. For now we dont need to worry about the resolution cause we'll fix the outcome at the end. In my case (as I'm using a widescreen) I usually use 16801050 pixels when creating backgrounds or wallpapers.

Me designing a pretty quick background, if you wanna learn watch closely, if you want to see what I got, go here

Ever wondered how to make a tiled web page background where one tile joins perfectly with the next? This tutorial shows how to make a tiled web page background which has no visible tiling lines.

4. Now we want to change the colors and saturation of this abstract background effect. Go to image -> adjustments -> Color balance and drag handles like described below.

1. Start with a black background layer then still in the same layer go to filters -> render -> lens flare and add a lens flare with settings as below.

Copy the background photo. (duplicate layer>background copy) Copy the background photo a second time. (>background copy 2) Place it above the layer with the girl. Copy the layer with the girl and place it above "background copy 2". (layer 1 copy) Erase the background from "layer 1 copy".

STEAMPUNK IS A subgenre of fantasy and science fiction, which has been realised in book (The Difference Engine, The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen), film (Wild Wild West, Back To The Future Part III) and videogames (Crimson Skies, Skies Of Arcadia, Syberia), and has even inspired artists and engineers to create steampunk-inspired pseudo-Victorian works. Here we set out to capture the magic of steampunk by creating a rich and textured graphic style using various steam-driven and mechanical objects such as piston engines, piping, clocks and meter faces. You'll learn how to engineer a Victorian-inspired interface and generate your own steam from the comfort of your computer chair. Using Photoshop's basic tools in creative ways, it is possible to bring that dream to the screen without having to know the software inside out. We'll take you through such tools and techniques as applying effective gradients, blending modes, basic drawing, the Smudge tool, the Warp tool and others that won't cause your cerebral cortex to implode.

The Background Eraser Tool (again, hold down the Eraser tool to access this option) is meant to be used along the edges of an object. The center of the brush determines which similar colors to erase. The Background Eraser Tool will also change the edges of an object slightly so that you don't get a "color halo." We'll use the Background Eraser Tool to isolate and define the edges of the object, then erase the other pixels on the "outside."

But if you want a large object to be your focus, and if you don't have high-tech-high-specs camera, Photoshop can do the trick. All we need to do is just diffuse the background to emphasize your subject to be your main focus. This will create a dreamy effect. Here's how to:

1. Duplicate the layer by pressing "Ctrl+J".

The Tuts are provided to us to teach us new ways of looking at things. Step 2: At this point, I had effectively removed all color information in my image, but I wanted to retain the colors in my foreground. So, I made another copy of my background image and used the Layer Mask Tool to mask out the background. Here, I did not have to be overly accurate in my masking strokes. Luckily, the subject's hair is black; thus, any desaturated hair strands didn't diminish the overall effect. Additionally, I adjusted my Brightness and Contrast settings to enhance the colors. To adjust Brightness and Contrast, go to Image in your top menu, select Adjustments, and click Brightness/Contrast (ImageAdjusmentsBrightness/Contrast).

@thegroovychannel ~ Thanks for tweeting us! Glad you found the project source files useful!

On the tools palette, change to Quick Mask mode by clicking the icon marked with a red circle. Nothing visible happens, but in this mode, you can use a properly configured brush to mask out the areas you want to leave sharp. Later changes will not affect the masked areas.Change to the Brush tool (press B), select a mid-sized brush (we have used a 45-pixel one), and carefully cover the areas you want to leave unchanged. By default, covered areas display with a red veil. This won't affect the picture directly, only signals Photoshop which areas are not to be touched.

Hit Q to exit Quick Mask mode or click the icon in the toolbox.

1. First of all, we need a cool brush set. Google for it! After you downloaded the brushes you need to place them in right folder. Go to Adobe instal map (Mostly you will fint it in C:/Program Files/adobe). Double click on the adobe map, go to Adobe Photoshop CS2 (Or another version, depending on wich one you use), than Presets/Brushes and copy the downloaded ABR files in there.

This is a 300% close-up on an image that I found at sxc.hu.

After selecting the Clone Stamp Tool you need to choose a sample area in the image. Hold the alt button, (or option on mac) and a crosshair will appear, you then need to click in an area away from the seems preferrably in the lower left or lower right area. After clicking you can release the alt/option button and your brush will appear again. You can at this time use the clone stamp tool just like you would a brush and draw over the seams. As you drag the mouse over your seams you will see that is has cloned the portion of the image you just sampled. Here's a video on Youtube that outlines how exactly the Clone Stamp works in detail:

I started by creating a new 100100 pixel image with a white background. It will help a lot if you have the grid showing (View > Show > Grid). By default, my grid view was set to have a gridline every 1 inch. Therefore, I changed it to have a gridline every 10 pixels (Edit > Preferences > Guides, Grid, & Slices). I also zoomed the image to make things a bit easier.

Today I will show you a simple effect in Photoshop that will result in a great background. You will need a good quality photo with good colors and of course a version of Photoshop.

From filter menu select "Distort>>Diffuse Glow". Apply settings as shown.

1. Sketching

This is one of my favorite tricks in Photoshop. I always thought that making a good tiling background would be very difficult, boy was I wrong. This is a great technique for creating backgrounds for you web site of for creating images for you desktop. Photoshop allows you to create tiling backgrounds very easily and it's all because of a filter called offset. You can find it in your filters menu under other. What the offset filter does is take your image and cut it into four quarters, then it moves the pieces around so that what was once in the middle of the picture is now on the edges, hence making everything line up. OK, so my explanation probably confused you more than you already were but once you see it in action you will understand what I'm saying. So with that lets get started!!

1. To begin, find the image with an object you would like to stand out by removing the background. (Click here for the original photo.)

3 . Play with the Lightning Effects Filter (>Filters>Render>Lightning Effects).

In my example, I'm using my little dog Penny. The background is not uniform, as backgrounds seldom are, and the contrast is not very great between the dog and the couch.

7. Go to Image-> Adjustments -> Gradient map and choose a gradient that you like In this case I used this gradient
