Here I will teach you how to create a 3dsmax 3dmodel stylish multiple glass studio tutorial. I have used following techniques in this 3ds max tutorial. Glass Effect and 2d line convert into 3d object techniques

This is my first tutorial, so it is simple, but I guess it will help on some people :). I will make a special glass using Max and for the renderer V-ray. Most of the people do glass by using lathe, my version is a little different. So here are the steps:

3dsMax show you list of available choices,as items are listed in alphabetically order you may need to scroll down

First reset max. The choose the Torus Knot Object

3. Now add a glass material to your sphere. If you dont have any, we have a tutorial on how to make some of your own in our cinema 4d tutorials section, or you can download some nice free ones in our download section:

15. Now we need to cut out the inside of our glass. We can do this using a Boolean. If your not sure how it works, Go to our tutorials section, and check out our Cinema 4D tutorial on Booleans. When you create the Boolean for your glass, scale it down a bit, and move the inside a bit upwards so that there is a hole in the top:

This is a basic tutorial, suitable for beginners, it produces a realistic glass effect using only the scanline renderer. I used 3d Studio MAX 5 for this tutorial, but it will work with older versions.

Building the Thing - Fire up Modeler and build yourself a simple object. Make a bowl or a sphere or something. Apply a surface to it called "Glass". Make sure that you make a nice, solid, 3D object with no holes or self-intersections. Otherwise, the raytracer can get confused. Remember, the object is going to be transparent, so any garbage polygons on the inside of the object will be visible!
