The Ministry of Defence must announce that Sapper Elijah Bond, of 35 Engineer Regiment, Royal Engineers, has died in the UK, on 8 December, as a result of wounds he sustained on operations in Afghanistan.
Captain Charlotte Joyce, who has kept the British Army’s Apache attack helicopters flying in the demanding environments of Afghanistan and Libya, has been named Young Woman Engineer of the Year.
