Cause then ou cant click the button many times and add very many gate MCs to it, which probably would make it crash. Tween and tween2 are the tweens that make the doors close.
Note: Only the dimensions from the Movieclip are taken. The Movieclip will not be visible in the final swf. So color does not mater here.
Let's get started:

In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a spray effect in Flash. You can try the movie above to see how it looks. You can change the color, density and size of the spray to see how the effect changes. Let's get started straight away!
My orginal size is 650×474, with the constrain proportions option ticked i set my width at 550pixels, then the height should automatically change. Save your newly sized image in a seperate file, save it as image_small.gif. You should have 2 images in total “the orginal” and “image_small”.
Create a new flash file, set the framerate to 30 for a smooth animation. Next, import the image you wish to add the smoke effect to and drag an instance of this from the library to the stage. (If you do not have an image to use, set the background colour of the stage to black to see the effect). Lock the first layer and create a new layer called smoke. Your stage should now be nothing more than an image / black backdrop.
Important: Instance Name should not be confused with Symbol Name.
But as Christmas apparently comes early this year, here is an early Christmas present for you, my flash video tutorial on how to apply an eye scan effect to an image of an eye, its quite simple but I thing its a great flash effect that can be applied to other stuff to.
In the last tutorial I showed you how to get up and running with Away3D and Flex. It was a lot of code for what amounted to a simple result, but I assured you that it was going to be worth it. Here you will see why. This tutorial will make use of the code established in the last tutorial to build an application that demonstrates the use of the Flash filters with Away3D objects, and you'll notice that we only introduce one new class, and a few new functions.
First, open a new Flash document in Flash 8 and use the text tool to write some sample text. Now convert this to a symbol by choosing the text clicking on Modify > Convert to Symbol... Choose Movie Clip, give the symbol a name and click on ok.
The first part tells the image to be at an alpha of 260 (or acturlly only 200 because we started at a level 40), when the mouse is over the image.
Now select the image movie clip we imported before, and go to the properties panel and bring down its alpha to 0 as shown below.
4. Now make a copy of the oval, with the free transform tool rotate the new copy, you will notice that your rotation will rotate on the pivot points new place.
3. Now with the oval tool, select a green color for the stroke and none fill color. Drag an oval inside the eye as shown in the image below.
4. Now in the layers panel lock the original layer by clicking the lock icon, then make a new layer and place it on top, name it mask or glass as I did.

Step 1: Create a new flash document and go to File>Import>Import to Stage and select the image you want to use. In this tutorial we will use the image below:

First of fire up Flash CS3. If you don't have a copy you can download a trial from Adobes site. Right, now create a new Flash Actionscript 3 document. The next thing to do is set up the stage. I kept my dimensions of my Flash file as the default, 550px x 400px. Also set the frame rate to about 30fps. This stops the animation from appearing to be slow, and chuggy.

In this tutorial we are going to emulate a Grain Effect in Flash which is similar to what we see in old televisions. This effect is widely used in movie scenes to indicate a event that have occurred ages ago. We are going to apply the techniques taught in Random Movement in Flash tutorial to create our grain effect, so I suggest you go through it to understand how the script works. Our final results should look similar to this:
Step1: Create a new Flash Document with the dimension 550 as the width and 400 pixels as the height, set the background color to white.
Line 11: Uses the DisplacementMapFilter class to allow us to displace the image pixels. ( warp the picture ) Parameters of Interest: The first parameter is our Bitmap Object from line 7. The last 2 parameters are multiplers for the x and y displacement. Leave them for now, but play with them later.

Now using the elipse tool again drag out a smaller circle and place in the middle of the first circle use a different colour so you can clearly see what you are doing. see fig.3b below.
When you have the shapes looking like fig.3 abovem, group all the seperate shapes together as a new shape and name it waves. now place in your project so they cover the water see fig.3a below.
Enabling the Effect Authoring Option

Goto menu File->Import->Import into stage and select our water.jpg image (distributed in images.zip file) The image is automatically placed into the stage, just center it on your screen, like the bellow example.
4. Select the picture an choose Modify>>Convert to Symbol (F8). In the Convert to Symbol window choose MovieClip as Type, choose center for registration point and give it bgMC name. Now go in the Properties panel and give it an instance name of bg_mc.
