How to Solve Problems With Friends in a Clique
Edited by Haille, Flickety, Carolyn Barratt, Elizabeth Knudsen and 3 others
Everything is flying high in your world, great friends, clique, good grades, and happy family. What most people don't see is when one flower dies the whole bed will wilt. So, when one friend gets mad, or upset this could mess up your almost perfect life. And we all know what that can do.
Edit Steps

1Evaluate the situation. Is the reason everyone's fighting your fault, or someone else's fault, or was it a complete misunderstanding? It may even be you're all growing apart. Here are some ways to look over the issue:
- Cold shoulders, glares, and ignoring, or silent treatment. Don't blink too fast because this may not be your problem. Is this girl just annoyed from not understanding her math or upset about the rumor you supposedly started? Don't fret; this is usually an easy dilemma.
- Lying, excuses, ditching. Luckily this usually has nothing to do with you. Maybe you BFF slipped and told her friend who you liked, or has done something against you.
- Back-stabbing, betrayal. Something's bad here. The possibilities are endless.
- Insults, and being mean to your face. Worst ever.
-
2Talk to her. And if she refuses say fine, say stuff like "I'd rather be friends with someone who has trust in me, then someone who easily believes rumors." Just don't be mean.
-
3Tell her stuff like, "Please tell me what's wrong, I swear I won't be mad." If she hints it might upset you. Don't pester her too much though. When she says what she did wrong put on a smile and say, "I don't care what you did but, I'm still upset. I'm glad you told me the truth." Then get something at Starbucks.
-
4Hold your head high and reach out to her. As much as you might want to start a war, don't. It could be over something stupid, or you may be growing apart. Just stick to who you are and don't change because your friend may be leaving you like this.
-
5Smile when the sad day comes that you guys take different paths. Remember all the times when you two did some great things that you wouldn't have dared to do, had he/she NOT been your friend. If you are fighting and you realize it because of this, sit down and just tell her all this. Say the friendship you both want isn't there anymore.
EditTips
- Don't ever take sides.
- Use your good judgement.
- Don't lash out.
- If you dont think you're growing apart, then it may be just because you want to have more friends.
- You want to enjoy life and not moan all the time.
- Don't worry. If you are especially worried about these things, simply say to your friends to take a 'chill pill' and have some fun. After all, you could take them out shopping, or just get something to eat where you can talk about it, to get it off your chest.
- You like them but you just wish that they would brighten up a bit and have more fun.
