In the 'blog world', there are blogs posts and there are pages. Posts go to your blog's home page in reverse chronological order[1] and pages might hold content like 'Contact Me', 'About Me', 'Copyright Information', etc. This article will show you how to create a page.
Edit Steps
- 1Go to your Wordpress Dashboard. You will need to go to your blog and log in as an admin.
- 2Click on 'Page' or 'Pages'. Either one will take you to the same place.
- With this screenshot, you can see the initial view that you will see when you first go to the page.
- 3Click on the 'Edit' button underneath 'About' so that you can edit the page. This is a good place to let others know about you.
- 4Add a new page. On the sidebar, you will see under, 'Pages', 'Add New'. Click on that to add a new page.
- This will bring you to a new edit box for creating your new page for your blog.
- 5Create your page. You just fill in the various parts of it and say what you think needs to be said.
- 6Decide if you want it to be a subpage. That would be a page that would go under a parent page. Like if under 'About Me', there was 'My Hobbies', 'My Likes', etc., those would be the subpages.
- 7Publish. Once you have finished, click on Publish and it will be part of your site.

Edit Tips
- Pages are one of those things that are pretty static. Once you have put them on your blog, unless things change in your life or the way you do things, you won't need to change them often.
