Create a Tapered Leg in SketchUp

When designing furniture, you will want to adjust features, such as tapering the legs. Otherwise, it is just 2 X 4 furniture that anyone could make. Read this article to learn of one way to design a tapered leg in SketchUp.

Edit Steps

    In SketchUp, create a 1 5/8" square.

    Using the push/pull tool, make it 24 inches tall.

    • What this does is allow the taper to start at the 24 inch mark, and then extends it further upward with no taper.
