Vases are a neat addition to a scene you may be creating and you can also use the process that you make the vase with on other things. This article will show you how to make a vase with Paint.Net
Edit Steps
- 1Open Paint.Net and start a new project. To start with, you will probably want it taller than wide. This article will use the size of 600 X 800.
- Plugins used for this article
- Clouds
- Shape3D
- Point Warp
- 2Create a texture or fill the canvas with a texture. This example will be using a mottled sky look.
- 3Get the color you want. This was done using the Color Balance under Adjustments.
- 4Create the cylinder with the Shape3D plugin. Make sure that you adjust the Axis 1 a bit and also deselect the tick mark on 'All Face'.
- The Shape3D plugin is under Effects >> Render.
- 5Click on Effects >> Distort >> Point Warp. Do the one side (you will want to adjust the effects for your purpose). Flip the layer (Layers >> Flip Horizontal) and apply the effect again (CTRL F).
- 6Flip it horizontally and then vertically to apply the same effect.
- 7Squash, or elongate, the vase by clicking on the selection icon and then adjust with the move icon.
Edit Tips
- Depending on the height of your vase, the look will change dramatically.
- If you don't have a plugin mentioned, use your favorite search engine and search for the name and paint.net.
- Shape3D paint.net (for example)
