Make the Time Before Christmas/Hanukkah Go by Faster

Do you ever come back from Thanksgiving break and think that the time before Christmas will be so interminable that you might die? You might think that, but if you follow these few steps, that time will seem so short that you won't even believe it!

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Plan something really not fun to do after school/work, or plan something really fun during school so that time during your school or work day will seem to go by a lot faster, usually the time after school will seem to go by so fast that it really doesn't count. It's school and work that seem to really last forever.
  2. 2
Be busy! Join several clubs or organizations, doing this will mean you are busier, and if it's a school club, you usually will get out of class if your club is going to do something.
  3. 3
Do something! Instead of sitting around looking at the calender, do out and buy presents for people...it is the holiday right?
  4. 4
Make a countdown! I know this mean disregarding the last step, but when you make the countdown, you know how many days are left, it seems even better if you only count the school days!
  5. 5
During school or work, DON'T look at the clock, it will just make the days seem to go by a lot slower.
  6. 6
Purposely schedule a doctor/dentist appointment during school, this way you get out as much as possible.
  7. 7
Whatever you do, don't fake sick! This will mean catching up, and usually the teacher won't help you as much, you'll fall far behind, and more often than not, you'll end up doing more work than going to school.
  8. 8
Study! This means more school work, but wouldn't you want to go to school and see that you have a good grade?
  9. 9
Whatever you do, try not to have to come in for lunch, do your homework and try to keep up with the rest of the class so this won't happen.
  10. 10
Get in the mood! Decorate your room/dorm. Give Christmas presents early. Buy presents for yourself. Listen to Christmas music! Decorate your locker! Try to get into the mood!
  11. 11
If you have a class project to present the week before Christmas break, present it before, this means you have nothing to stress about!.

Edit Tips

  • To get even more into the mood, instead of buying Christmas presents, make them!

Edit Warnings

  • Don't miss too much school with clubs, otherwise this might mean missing school, which in one of steps explains why you don't want to...
