Create a Custom Computer Cursor

Making a custom cursor is a fun project. Follow these instructions and you will know how to complete this task.

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Choose the picture you want to make a cursor out of.
  2. 2
Download ACDSEE, Microsoft Office Picture Manager, or Microsoft Picture Resizer Powertoy (its available on the Microsoft website)
  3. 3
Change the size of you picture to 16 x 16 resolution. its not necessary to change the picture to exactly that size; it can vary slightly like 16 x 18 or even 20 etc.
  4. 4
Then go to the Folder options which you can access from the menu bar on top of the explorer windmouse pointer properties.

Edit Tips

  • Some times big size pictures may also be convertable but its better to change the resolution.

Edit Warnings

  • Make a backup of your picture as it may be a little risk of losing them when working especially in Microsoft Office Picture manager and sometimes ACDSEE.
