Work With the wikiHow Writing Coach

Have you ever felt stuck while writing? Or do you just want to improve your wikiHow contributions and beyond? Are you a non-native English speaker that would like help writing in English? Then wikiHow has the answer for you - a writing coach!

As a way to give back to our community members, wikiHow is now offering free, one-on-one assistance with writing, researching and presentation of your wikiHow contributions. We welcome you to take advantage of this service. Get your articles featured, brag to friends and family, or use your contributions as writing samples for other purposes. When your writing and research skills are top notch, the possibilities are endless.

Here are the steps for beginning your work with the wikiHow writing coach. Believe it or not, these sessions are quite lively and fun! So try hard and make your article the best. Becoming a good writer requires earnest effort.

    Create an account to receive coaching. You can also register at this link.

    Check out the Coach's profile and see what she is all about.

    Request an appointment. The Coach will get back to you within 24 hours to discuss a meeting time and the best way to work together. The coach is available to assist you Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise specified by the Coach. Contact her via:

    Include the title or URL of an article you are working on or would like to work on. The Coach will review your work beforehand and plan the best strategy for your meeting. This will ensure getting the most out of the time spent working together.

    Include notes on the areas you would like to work on. This may include grammar, style, research, organization or brainstorming of steps. The more specific you can be about your goals, the more effective your session will be.

    Make time in your schedule for the appointment. At the time of your appointment, the coach will wait 10 minutes for you to show up.

      If you can't make your appointment, please give the wikiHow writing coach at least 24-hours notice. Missed appointments will send you to the back of the line, which may mean that you will have to wait a week or two.

    Enjoy and get as much as you can out of your appointment. Generally, it should last about 45 minutes to an hour. Learn, laugh and maybe even get your article featured!

    Make a follow-up appointment if you would like further assistance.
