- Drop Shadow Effect by KrisVDM
- Perspective Effect by dpy
- Alpha Mask Import Plugin by Illnab1024
- Align plugin
- 2Make a white to black radial gradient. To make it, click in the center and drag away and it should be fairly centered. (layer 1)
- 3Make a concrete layer. (layer 2)
- 4Make a new layer (layer 3) and put in your text. For this article, it will be wikiHow.
- 5While on the text layer, run the Perspective plugin.
- Use these settings until you are familiar with the effect you want to achieve.
- 6Using the move tool:
move your text to the center of your project.- Alternatively, you can use the Align plugin.
- 7Duplicate
your text layer and put them in this order. Basically, reverse the order of the original text and the duplicate. - 8Run the Drop Shadow plugin on the Drop Shadow layer.
- Drop shadow settings
- 9Repeat several times to increase the 3D effect.
- 10On the Drop Shadow layer, go to Adjustments >> Invert Colors.
- 11Using the Layer Merge icon
merge the Master layer into the Drop Shadow layer. - 12Create a new layer above the concrete layer. Use the Bucket to fill it with black.
- Tip: Be sure that it is black and not orange!
- 13Merge the text layer to the black layer.
- 14Go to Edit >> Select All (keyboard shortcut: CTRL+A), then Edit >> Copy (keyboard shortcut: CTRL+C).
- 15Undo everything up to the point where you merged the two text layers. There should be two text layers again.
- 16Move the Concrete text layer above the Drop Shadow layer.
- 17Run Effect >> Alpha Mask and Paste from Clipboard. Here is where you will know if you made a mistake and have to backtrack.
