Note, nothing I write here is meant to be a personal attack! I have no issues with any of the wikia staff on a personal level, but I still take issue with some recent actions.

There has been a lot of controversy since wikia decided to make considerable changes to the search engine. I personally find the changes . . . distasteful and counterproductive.

I am making this blog to compile my thoughts on the changes to the search system, and to offer constructive suggestions with the hope that some of this reaches the ears of the powers that be.

You should be able to opt out of being part of the Achievements system in your user Preferences.

I mean, I'm #1 on Ben 10 Fan Fiction. It's been that way for a long time. I didn't even try! And it may make the new users think that they edited like crazy to get that way, and they should spam, too. That, or it makes them lose hope and maybe not edit.

So yeah.

Now, this rotten junk is spammed onto Default's and WikiaBot's avatars, and is even put right in front of you when you're adding a link in rich text mode. Sorry, Wikia, but this is not on, and you need to start listening to users because this far more than I can take. I am not putting up with some of the most horrible logos I have seen in my life, and I know that a change of logo shouldn't cause this much anger, but I really can't hold on anymore. I've tried to tell Wikia Staff nicely to change it back, and they clearly haven't even took my thoughts into consideration, so now I have to reveal my anger.

Which one do you think is better:

I'm having trouble with the new editor. The only bug: IT'S TOO SLOW! You see, on the Complipedia (my most well-known wiki) page production have been short recently, yet I think I may know why: THE EDITOR WILL NOT WORK! I tried creating a page today but the editing part will NEVER show up! Can you please tell me what's going on?

Well, how disgusted I am. I don't mean to offend anybody, but went this junk hit my screen I was actually frightened. Please change this back! I really hope that this is just an April Fools joke, but that is not likely. Is there any CSS or Javascript to revert this terrible change?

I really am afraid that these series of new changes (removing possibility for easily adding level 4 menus to navigation, and more recently, a video redesign and "Gaming" being renamed to "Video Games") are actually discouraging new users rather than encouraging them. Thanks!

Ok so I have the strangest family in the world I swear. If you comapred us to a circus, my mother would be the ringleader, my step dad the lion tamer, my cousin Dana (who is always at our house avoiding his wife) would be the creepy clown that follows everyone. I often find older blogs with useful content or which could be useful, but need minor updates. So it's frustrating to see that comments are no longer allowed after 30 days.

I've also seen blogs which had comments less than 30 days ago, but which were still frozen, so the mechanism seems to be somewhat faulty.

Do you think blogs should time-out or freeze? What are the "pro"s and "con"s?
