    Go through the instruction manual. A survey said that 80% people don't read the full instructional manual on buying technology. As a result they are not aware of how to maximize their use.

    Understand the dos and don't. If it says charge it once a day and keep it away from sunlight. make sure you do it.

    Add ons. If a new application or a new device can be attached to your gadget then do buy the add ons like ear phones for better music, memory card fro having extra gigabite space etc.

    Maintenance is the key. All products come with a service/maintenance. a car needs to be service to check that it doesn't consume more fuel. A phone needs to be service to ensure long life of the phone. A laptop needs to be service to ensure that the voltage in the ic chips is stable and the laptop doesnt crash with its data.

    Get a phone. These gadgets are good at keeping in contacts with friends, family, co-workers, etc.

    Check up regularly on your Internet accounts and Emails. This way, you will be up to date with any changes.

    Back up your data and have a spare copy of any work you have saved.

    Get Antivirus software to lower the chance of viruses.
