Improve Your Sense of Humor

Are you the type of person who takes what people say too seriously? Do you often make a situation awkward because they've jokingly said something, and you reacted offensively? Well, it may just be that you're in the need to improve your sense of humor.

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Do not react foolishly when someone makes a joke and you feel like you're the butt of it.
  2. 2
Take a look around at other people's facial expressions. Try to adjust yours (maybe widen your eyes).
  3. 3
Begin with a fake laugh. This may lead to others laughing
  4. 4
Quickly think of a way to make fun of them back. Or, just laugh at what they've told you. We don't always think what somebody has said is funny, but we will laugh for their sake anyway.
  5. 5
See how you feel. Do you feel better because you shrugged it off?

Edit Tips

  • Using funny facial expressions can be a huge help.
  • It helps to hang around funny people more. And pick up on how they deal with situation.

Edit Warnings

  • Try not to take yourself so seriously. Having a sense of humor is very important... people like funny people.
