The aim of the Security Community of Expertise is to be a catalyst for change within the ICT and Information Security community.

The security community is diverse, and its influence wide-ranging, but its effectiveness can only be enhanced if it speaks with a single, authoritative voice on matters of importance to the citizen, business, commerce and government.

The success of the Security Community of Expertise lies in its ability to deliver this.

BCS and EEMA held a one-day thought leadership seminar for delegates who wished to learn about the commercial opportunities of how eID can enable secure commercial transactions.

The Security Top Tips guide has been recently completely overhauled and updated by the BCS Security Community of Expertise. BCS members and the general public will find it a useful guide on key security issues and where to find best practice guidance.

UK Cyber Security

A POSTnote, published by the UK Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology, provides a useful overview of Cyber Security in the UK. There is particular emphasis on approaches to Cyber Security in the context of large-scale attackes, with a focus on national infrastructure.
