This module is all about taking simple steps. Each day builds upon the next. There is also a reason, principle, or law behind what we are doing (remember the last module about getting the mindset?).
Today, I want to introduce you to WorkFlowy. It is a simple online productivity tool that can help you get things done. I LOVE the simplicity of this tool. I have tried just about EVERYTHING out there so you can take it from me. Simple is best. I used to be enamored by all of the bells & whistles of the other productivity tools.
What I have come to discover is that the robust online productivity tools actually make it more difficult for me to get things done. I need a simple system. You need a simple system.
Setting Up WorkFlowy – A Simple Online Productivity Tool
In the video, I explain the process as well as how to get started in using WorkFlowy. Here is the process explained in a step by step fashion.
- Information and stuff gets thrown at me throughout the day (voicemail, email, internal distractions, external distractions, etc.)
- Capture Everything – Evernote, 3×5 cards, Workflowy
- Evernote – Ideal for reference & support materials (documents, PDF’s, Excel files, recipes, receipts, quotes, illustrations, etc)
- WorkFlowy – Ideal for To Do Lists (90 day goals, daily tasks) and brainstorming (future ideas and projects)

Get It Done Task – Set up WorkFlowy and Add Areas of Focus
Your task today is pretty straight forward. I want you to sign up for WorkFlowy and then once you get familiar with how it works, add your areas of focus. You areas of focus should have been created back in the first module. Go back and review the video if you need to. Later, I will teach you how to use the WorkFlowy tool to get stuff done.
