Burnout in a Manual

The main concept behind this is to be able to hold the car straight or you can slide sideways and hurt yourself and or the car. This is a very simple process you just need to have a car with enough power and tires that aren't specially made to not burnout.

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Take your car some place that has a wide lane and no traffic or police near you. Distant parking lots and drag strips are best.

  2. 2
Start the car on a spot where you won't roll back or forward.

  3. 3
Make sure your parking brake is completely off and your wheels are straight.

  4. 4
With the clutch in, rev your engine until it's about 1000rpms short of redlining it. Mind you, doing this is bad for your car.

  5. 5
Quickly let the clutch out and floor your accelerator.

  6. 6
If you have done everything appropriately you should be burning out.

Edit Tips

  • Some tires are made to not smoke so you might just be burning your clutch. The smell of clutch is much different then rubber.
  • Make sure your car is straight or you will start sliding in one direction instantly.
  • RWD cars are better for this.
  • Be prepared because many cars like to slide right off the bat.

Edit Warnings

  • If you do this in front of a cop they can ticket and maybe arrest you for exhibition of speed and or reckless driving.
  • This is not the best thing to be doing with your time and burns out your clutch.
  • Messing around with your car like this is a hazard to everyone around you.
